turbozone4u/turbostuff09: Beware of this seller!!
« on: May 20, 2009, 02:39:07 AM »
I bought two games off this guy almost three months ago and have yet to get anything from him except empty promises that he's taking care of the situation. I lost track of time on this sale and, unfortunately, the 45 day limit on paypal for complaints passed me by. Just want people to be very aware of this seller, especially since his rating on eBay is 100%. Nectarsis also apparently had a run-in with this guy as well. I'm still communicating back and forth with this guy, so we'll see what happens, but I'm not hopeful.

BTW, the games were Bloody Wolf and Neutopia.

Three months ago JESUS FORKING JONES.  Did you buy from this jerkoff outside of Ebay- hence his 100% rating still firm?

Well stiffing one of our loyal members just isn't going to be taken lightly by the community.  I for one won't buy anything from him EVER.  3 months just shows he plans on not making good on the sale.  Can he provide a shipping receipt to your address?  If he can't I suggest you also head over to digitpress and make a posting on him being a horrible seller also.  Between the 2 sites he wont be selling anything much in the future.

Edit: Bad spelling

That pisses me off even more when a seller pulls a fast one just because you can't damage his EBay approval.  Little does this assmunch know that you're a trusted member of the biggest Turbo/PCE forum in the world- and if his whole gig is selling turbografx games that he just shot himself in the foot- regardless of his precious Ebay rating.  Speaking for myself- I buy games regularly and I'll no longer be considering any items from turbozone4u.

Keep us updated Ceti.

About 2 years ago, I bought some games from him on ebay. He told me that he had a bunch of stuff that he could sell outside of ebay (to avoid fees) and when I purchased them, he used the same story on me...he was investigating the situation, there is no tracking number for International shipments, blah, blah, blah.

Reeeeaaaallllyyyy...well, that's certainly interesting. That's the exact same story with me, except that I'm in Canada, so there's no excuse for tracking internationally.

You know my solution for someone screwing you: shit in a box and send it on its merry way.  O:)

Back when ebay revealed bidder's IDs, I used to get messages from this dude every time I bid on something.  I never went for his line of shit though, as I figured the risk was too high and reward too low to make a deal outside of ebay's protection.  You're too trusting of a guy*, but you probably still have some recourse; I don't know about Canuck laws, but here in the States, his ass would be on the line for wire fraud and/or mail fraud.

* - Are those damn frenchies rubbing off on you, making you weak and spineless?  :P

That guy did the same thing to me once a few years ago. Whole thing smelled funny, so I declined.

Just a thought: did you fund the Paypal payment with a credit card?  If so, your card provider probably allows a longer charge back period (Mastercard allows for 120 days).

Well, that's good to know, especially since I use mastercard. He did get back to me (I think Sin's email might have sent him the message hehe) and says he's going to refund me for the Neutopia and mail me another complete Bloody Wolf. We'll see.

He emailed me, trying to sell me some Turbo stuff. Didn't buy on account his prices were ludicrous. Wow, being cheap does save you money! Who knew!?

If a refund via cc is possible, then forget the games and tell him to blow his horn where the sun don't shine. Obviously, he's just buying more time cause if he's hasn't mailed in three months, then he's a con or a lazy slug. Either way, good chance you're not going to get those games. Better off waiting for them to pop up on Ebay or the forums.

Either way, good luck with the transaction.

The dude emailed me back when ebay let you see who was bidding on what. He told me he had some turbo games if I wanted. I declined though, but only because I was out of cash. haha. I guess I got lucky!

LOL

back when I bought my TG CD off ebay that tool sent an email saying he would sell my the same setup plus games for the same price....

and I told him "Sure list it on eBay and I will click right away"

He said "Why?"

and i said "So when you screw me over, ebay helps me out and I dont have to drive to your house and beat you with a shovel"

He never did list it on ebay...
