Yep. Beat it. Pretty easy, I liked fighting my evil self. Great game, great story. Now if I can only track down the Wicked Phenomenon.....

Good luck finding Wicked Phenomenon. I can't find a copy that's less then $100.

Go for the cheaper (and easier) PCE version.  It can be had for $10 or so and is 100% playable without Japanese language skills.

The PCE version is actually more playable. The game itself is straightforward, but the Turbo version's gameplay improvements break an already flawed game.

SWEET! I did not know that.

There's a few threads about it around here somewhere. The difficulty is severely ramped-up for the US version. Enemy locations are the same as far as I could tell, but they deal out more damage and take like 3-4X as many hits to kill. And they don't respawn the same way they did in Exile 1, so you can't sit in place for hours with the attack button held down.

The big problem with both versions of Exile WP is that the screen scrolls when the player is so close to the edge.

I hate it when games do that

US version of Exile II isn't as tough as people make it out to be- but the game is severely lacking compared to Exile I.
