You could even tout it as another prototype. Nobody would even know.

In the future, if there are prototype-talks with a Japanese person, let me know and I'll help write and translate letters. Negotiations like these are too delicate to leave to machine-translators, methinks.

Been done many years ago.  I think Assembler offered at least $3,000?  I'd assume Thibaut offered even more.  This horse is dead.

Don't Asian women like bukkake?  Maybe offering money isn't the way to go...

This was the other one that i kept seeing once in a blue moon. I just did a google search and i found this site i have never seen before. Has any of you ever obtained a copy of this? I am shocked to see this site as recent as January 2010. I still need to pick up that berzerk homebrew, mysterious song as well. I have implode, and meteor blaster dx. Would be awesome to see some homebrew arcade card games take full advantage of that medium. If i were rich beyond imagination, i would hire chris covell full time, and let him choose his team of developers, and make killer new homebrew arcade card games for our awesome little white box. Did he ever give a release date for the cd version of Tonguemans Logic?

I think the money involved is borderline absurd. No companies that we'd like to support will receive any of that money and I wouldn't pay that much for a game, no matter how rare it is, because no game can be good enough to justify that cost : |
*boringface.jpg*

That said tho', of course I approve the hunt for unreleased gamese & prototypes, it's just, these things should be dealt with more causally. Not evolve into a competition of who's got the most money to throw around.

*insert naive worldview here*

The biggest mistake being made here is everyone assumes this is all about money and bragging rights.  Believe it or not, somethings are more important to people then money.  Hell I was recently offered $2,000 for my Blazing Star AES, way more then double what I paid, but guess what?  I don't need the money, and I love the game, so I declined.  I could have accepted the money, bought another one eventually and still make a profit, but I simply don't want to do that.  Waving money around is not always the answer.

That comparison doesn't make any sense, the whole point is no one but the owner can play PC Cocoron, anyone can download a rom of Blazing Star and play it.

If Yuki wants to keep the game to himself that's fine it's his property it's up to him, just suprised he has if he has been offered that kind of money.

If your copy of Blazing Star was the only one in existence, would you accept a wad of cash in exchange for letting someone dump the data to share with the world and then return the cart to you?

There has to be a reason besides him just not feeling like it. Maybe he's opposed to emulation. Maybe he really does want money or bragging rights. Was he or someone close to him directly entrusted with the proto by the developer? Or has the offer to dump the game and return it to him alongside a handsome payment even been made so far?

You know how people break into the homes of celebrities and steal their home videos in hopes of hitting the home made porn jackpot. Well, perhaps a mission impossible style breaking in to this person's house with a laptop is the only way.

I did some yahoo.co.jp searches for PC cocoron and found several forum messages of people claiming to have played the game. Maybe it is time to track down one of the other owners.
