System Modifications

OK, I hear alot about Regional Modifications for the Turbo. I have a question, what is the reason for making the modifications and the desired effect of the modifications?

A region modification allows you to play both US and JP HuCards on the same system without the need for an external adapter like the Kisado, which is no longer manufactured and is quite rare.  It is a modification of the HuCard slot using either an 8PDT switch or logic circuits.  For JP systems, the HuCard slot needs modification and the 29 pin on the Hu6280 processor needs to be grounded.  A region modded Duo allows you to play ANY game, Hu or CD, except for the 5 SuperGrafx games.

Oh, and to answer your e-mail, sorry, sold those out!

 This game is the bane of my existance  . I can't find a US copy anywhere. Make the rounds over a few different sellers pages, they never have US copies and I have never seen it on Ebay. What is the average price on that, $90. Thats what I hear. I will be checking in again to see if you have more copies at a later date.

Wow I just PM'd D-Lite about the same game

Edit: Might and Magic III, not China Warrior. 'Though it does rock the house. I was gonna get Turrican but the guy at the mall talked me into China Warrior- he said I'd have a lot more fun with this one. Good man.

yeah, I don't have M&M either... i might never get it, considering how infrequently it shows up when I have enough money.

Man I wish I had people to talk Turbo with at the mall or pretty much anywhere in public :( . This one guy I talked to in the mall who worked at Gamestop didn't even know much about my Neo Geo Pocket Color!

Adding PCE console specific layer on top of that, makes for an interesting challenge (no, not a reference to Ys II).

God, the "casual gamers" these days can jump off a cliff.  i was searching for a good nes forum to post a question on recently and found kids who seriously thought of dusting off their N64 as "retro gaming" and constantly referred to the SNES as "old school."
