At long last, I finally sat down and plowed through this thing.. What a great game  :o

Only had to look at an FAQ once, and that was for what I like to call a "Castlevania 2" moment toward the end of the game.

Overall a very satisfying experience, and  I finished with 16 minutes to spare!

Haven't made it past the second level myself and I haven't played the Duo version either. I do enjoy the game though.

Adding PCE console specific layer on top of that, makes for an interesting challenge (no, not a reference to Ys II).

One feature of the Duo version I like is that you can change the speed of the game. In other words you can zip around if you want- but the speed of the guillotines and fighters increases as well, so it makes things a lot tougher in some spots. Some jumps seem impossible in the highest speed setting (there are 6).

PoP -- I've beaten the PC and the SNES (Konami) version of this game... but only in the last year or two have I picked up the DUO version.  Maybe I'll dig it out and see how much I can remember.

Sad of you, jesus. There are very heavy game collectors in Arkansas. We have a ton of game stores all over the place, all over the state.I used to manage one of the major Little Rock ones, before leaving to help a old friend open one of his own in Russleville, which now he has 2,the one in Russleville, and one in Conway.Infact, besides his store in Conway, there are 2 others, all withen 5 mins of each other.
Gamestop in every city
EB Games/soon to be Gamestop also in LR,and Fayetteville
Tons of Game X Changes all over the place,I managed the LR one way back when. The owner of the NLR/LR/Conway sucks though, which is why I left, along with 2 friends. One is rich, doesnt even have to work, and the otherone with the 2 game stores of his own.
Also in Hot Springs, the GameRoom and GameBiz.
Both are owned by brothers who hate each other deeply.
Vintage Stock stores in northern Arkansas
Some small time game store in Jacksonville, cant remember the name of it though.
Plus a insane amount of arcade game vendors who sell to the public left and right in NLR/Jacksonville,and LR.No problems finding a original Mercs or Strider arcabe cab working with good screen for under $400.00 around here.Same with Neo cabs.
There are more Im sure,I only know of the ones I have been to.
Anyway, yea one of the local stores in Springdale sells some new Duo games,Sim earth,Prince of Persia,John Madden,Shadow of the Beast, and Riot Zone. They had copies of Forgotten Worlds and Lords of Thunder untill about a year ago.Anyway, anything from TG-16,Jaguar,3DO,32X,Saturn,Master System, about anything can be found in this state. One of my friends in Conway just sold on ebay a complete copy of SpiderMan for the 32X,very rare.I think it went for around 200 bucks.

Also almost every gamestore other then the EBs and Gamestop have cd-buffers,that are waterbased,so getting vintage cd games repaired is not a problem. Most of the time the disc look like new afterwards.Kinda sad that EB and Gamestop dont have them.....makes you wonder.

They used to have them...when they were Funco.

I've only been to Mountain Home in Arkansas, and I recall them having one game store downtown, but it was closed up the next time I went there.  They do have a ton of pawn shops, though, and most of them carry vintage games.
