1. No, but you're getting warmer.
2. No. The jingle is from a rubbish game.
3. Famous shooter, keep guessing.

Nobody's got this yet?  Of course the tune is the intro to Xevious, but I don't really know the origins of the other 2.  I'm guessing the blast is from a Konami game like Salamander or Gradius II?

Yes, the tune is Xevious (I was going to use the arcade version but it sounded terrible). The blast is from a shooter, not the ones mentioned, but I thought it would be easy to guess. The other effect (footsteps) is from a Telenet game...

It sounds like Golden Axe.

Nope. It's from the opening to a game, the first thing you hear when the logo appears.

...and it's not Last Alert/Red Alert.

And I doubt it's Lady Phantom, which is the most recent Telenet game I've played (it's not that good, unfortunately).

Two really unsubtle hints now: one game has to do with cars, the other has to do with someone on this forum.

It was Legend of Dekoboko (footsteps), Xevious (jingle) and Tatsujin (explosion).

Dear lord!

Dekoboko--I've played that less than Lady Phantom! No wonder I didn't even think of it. As for Xevious-- that was drinving me crazy! It was so familiar, but I could NOT GET IT. I'm glad I finally know where everything is from now.
