It's at urbandictionary, therefore I cannot in good conscience even follow the link. Sorry! :)

I'm totally serious, by the way. This will remain a mystery to me.

I can live with that.

Come back, Rover!  Compared to past "problem trade" topics, this one was handled with kid gloves --- if someone had complained about any seller other than you, there would have been a lot more posts and a lot more raised eyebrows.  But because of your reputation, people pretty much stayed out of it and let this topic resolve itself.  FORGIVE US!  We know that's not good enough!  We promise to treat you like the holiest of holy men, as you so rightfully deserve!  You are truly the crown prince of PCEFX!

Yes, Rover, stick around; this minor glitch has been ironed out.  Plus, you'd never forgive yourself if you missed out on yet another chance to piss in this angry little meatsack's cornflakes.

haha. I didn't even know diddo was actually a word until I stupidly mispelled ditto. Are you sure you don't want to go to urban dictionary? Not just a quick peek? C'mon, I know you wanna.

Haha, I may be a meatsack but I'm not actually all that angry.  I just thought Rover needed a dressing-down since everyone gave him the benefit of the doubt by keeping quiet, and that *still* wasn't good enough for him.  My request for him to come back was earnest, because people around here seem to like the guy and therefore he's important to the community, but he's behaving like a prima donna and I'm going to call him out on that.  Because I want to.

If everyone thinks it was appropriate for Rover to get offended by this thread and quit posting at PCEFX, then speak up, call me a mean angry man, whatever.  Everyone's allowed to have an opinion.  But if Rover's behavior was truly appropriate, then he won't be back because his departure would therefore be justified.  It's a catch-22!

It's done with now. I was finally able to ship the package out. This will likely be my last post here at pcenginefx though, as I can see where this is all going.

???  This thread was posted by a (rightfully) concerned person that thought they were out $500, with lack of communication.   Emerald Rocker makes some good points...this was handled with kid gloves, and was more civil than ANY similar thread of it's type in years.  You don't see venom spewing in posts, people now questioning what will happen with Mysterious Song, etc.

Look, as long as you make up for things and play nice I think everyone would forgive you.  I definitely had my dark days here and elsewhere, but people generally are willing to move on if you really care to make things right.

D-Lite,  AMEN.

Gotta face some issue and solve and move on.  It s like when you live in a town and u find a neigbor who pissed and calls for everyone to look out and have a simple meeting.  I would brief and solve the problem and move on instead of brief, solve the problem then move out of town!.

But Rover felt that is childish which i cant blame.

$500 is alot to me and i would speak up cuz it s lead to big market soon.

Glad Rover solved this problem and move on thos.. this issue might be small to him cuz he know he will be in big business due to new game =)

But now since I have received the discs will need to test them and then if everything works as promised then I will close this thread. And hey there The Old Rover please do not leave this community no one is perfect people do make mistakes and sometimes they get too busy and forget about shipping. No shit.

Of course it was.  There's a big difference between a problem arising with an established member and one with some unknown ebay seller that will never even see the comments anyway.  When was the last time that a long standing member had any troubles, Dean?  As I recall, he was also given the benefit of the doubt and allowed time to resolve the problem before everyone jumped all over him.

That's the issue, though.  Whether or not the buyer considers $500 or however much a lot of money isn't important since the buyer probably would consider it

Well yes, I was given the benefit of the doubt by many.  Not that I even deserved it necessarily.  I was pretty much AWOL for a while.  Michael was on the case on that one and as I said then, it's good there's people here that will keep on task with deals like this.  I have no problem with threads like this as long as they remain civil.

True, but Rover is saying "can see where this is all going"...insinuating a witch hunt/bashing that has neither taken place or started to form.  A bit over dramatic for no reason eh?

"this is all going" into drama queen territory apparently. Rover, suck it up and realize nobody's mad, nor even pretending to be. Pretty silly thing to leave a forum over, considering it's 100% resolved with no name calling, and nobody doing anything rash. The only rash thing I can see is you deciding to quit over nothing!

If I was one of the people who placed an advance order on Mysterious Song (I'm not)- I'd be concerned that Rover's disappearance would mean either that the game will never be delivered or that Rover will fall out of contact with updates on the game's release coming to a halt.  Rove- this is not the effect you desire.  Nothing much happened here- a guy rightfully questioned on the whereabouts of his purchase- and you came on and set it straight.  No reason to run- as I stated if you do turn and leave now it will only be the cause of more concern.  It would do you good to keep showing your face until the game is released- this way no one can say you're taking the money and running.

Totally. Rover, no one wants you to leave. You handled the situation and everything is kosher.
