PC Engine to TurboGrafx controller adaptor
« on: January 11, 2010, 11:55:00 PM »
I just bought this for my PC-Engine

But looking at this make me go  :(  But then I go :-k

 I then I make this and plug it in.  It worked! so then I do this .

And now I can use my PC Engine multi-tap and other PCE controllers on my TG-16.

Got the diagram from Gamesx.com

If I made 2 more would anybody buy them for $25 shipped to US?

That's pretty cool. I'd consider buying one as long as the build quality is good.

Wow, I love the look of that cable.  Looks sturdy.  Maybe if one of you guys can get one and review it?  I would consider buying one as well if quality is as good as it looks.

I decided I probably won't be making these.  It isn't too hard though, you just have to find a Din8 male Solder connect and a Mini Din 8 Female, solder wires looking at the pinouts from gamesx.com and run the wires through some expandable sleeving.  Test and if working fill the connectors with hot glue.

At 2-3 hours per adaptor, it isn't really worth it for me time wise.
