Cycho Rider for PC Engine?

Look at this auction, it seems like, Cycho Rider, is a omake game on Anearth Fantasy Stories http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=4315&item=8202910087&rd=1  Am I wrong, or is it seperate?  I've never even heard of it!

I'm stumped.  I'd love for someone to help clear this up!

This auction is already out of my league, but I'd love to find out: the CychoChaser vertical shooter is INTRIGUING since it was never given a proper release (as far as I know).

Yes PD showed me last night on IRC as well and I was very curious about this extra shooter. Looks very interesting.

Adding PCE console specific layer on top of that, makes for an interesting challenge (no, not a reference to Ys II).

Got this from the Magic Engine board "Cychorider is only present on the Taikenban version of Seiya Monogatari - Anearth Fantasy Stories.
It's a "hidden" shooter that you can access by pressing "down" twice from the main menu.
It's mainly a 2 minutes score attack game , a bit like Summer Carnival '92 - Alzadick."

Although I don't have CD, I did some digging a couple of weeks ago about this.  You all probably know about the various Demo CD + book (mooks) that have come out for PCE.  These books are basically hint guides with maps, etc.

In the case of this Seiya Monogatari, the programmers(?) decided to include this shooting game.  From the book, it says that the game has nothing to do with Seiya Monogatari and they just wanted to include this shooter.  Not sure why they did this, but I'd guess that it was the only way to get the shooting game published in some form.

I just looked at the auction.  Pretty pricey for just the CD imo.  I would like to try that shooting game however. :)

Yeah, I've tried it on my version, & haven't gotten it to work, so, I must have the original version.

Thanks for the scoop.  Yes, I want to play this game as well: it's one of the few PCE shooters I haven't played!
