Nintendo seller
« on: February 12, 2010, 11:45:19 AM »
How nice would it be to put up your old nintendo for sale and not know exactly what you had?  This appears to be the case.

I might've misread on DP, but I believe the moneymaker in that collection (Stadium Events) is actually the PAL version, which is rare but not nearly as valuable as the US version. It's obvious that the seller is trying to play dumb and pretend "Oh, I just happened to find these carts with the system, they're probably not worth much" but then blows it by taking more pics of Stadium Events than any other cart in the lot.

Gotta love the username, though.

If you look at the updates posted in the auction, it says people were asking for more pics of it so she added them.
All is well. :)

She ended up over at Atari Age, and they walked her through the process to make sure no one ripped her (side sell, etc etc), and they also informed her to take better pics of Stadium Events to maximize how much she made.

She mentioned that she found them in either a garage sale, estate sale, or thrift store, cause she frequents those places often.  She's got almost three sheds full of stuff to sell on Ebay.  She said she remembers paying $2.00 for that Stadium Events.

I just noticed that the winner of this auction is the guy who put up the manual for Stadium Events for $9,000.00 What a jackass.

If the guy is just going for a loose NES collection, who can blame him?

I would do the exact same thing with any rare boxes I found, cause they take up too much space.

While the bid for that game is pretty over-the-top, can anyone verify if Stadium Events is even that good of a game? :-s

Sorry, but I don't see your library card on the books of Ys.  Now, RETURN THEM TO ME!!!

I think the question kind of answers itself.  To be worth $13,000 it better give me daily blowjobs for life.  :!:  Being that it won't, my vote is for it NOT being worth it.

All is well. :)

Keep in mind that Stadium Events was rebranded and released a year later as World Class Track Meet, which is much more common.  If people gave a crap about the game, they'd just buy that.  But that's not what it's about.

i hate when people write a bullshit story like that.  You think for something at that cost, the seller would be a little more articulate or just be honest!

Do you know why divorce is so expensive?  Because they're worth it.
