heh, love how he links to that instead of the actual auction, where everyone could see that it was in better shape, included a box and insert, and wasn't from someone with zero feedback.

I think Ohio is the mecca of classic gaming.  Almost all of the auctions I look at are from that state.  Im moving.  And the people are so friendly!
Another douche trying to obtain a full Turbo collection.  119/146 so far.  Got a long way to go. Half way there. Hit the 100 mark. ich bein ein obeyer

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=290412246324&ssPageName=STRK:MEDWX:IT

The dirtiest shittiest version ever of this game and still $560.51...  I had $536, but even had a hard time justifying that bid...

Looks like my TG collection will never be complete.  Why couldn't this be common, and TV Sports Football be rare?

Whoever won this last auction for MC lucked out. The mispelling of turbografx and the fact that the seller was new kept the price relatively down. I don't think we'll ever see any copy of MC go for under $600 again...

I think the 'shit-stained undies' quality of the game kept the price low.  Just search Magical Chase.

Tough crowd.. In case you couldn't read between the lines, I was the one that won this auction. The hu did have a few specs of dirt on it, but all I had to was wipe it off with a damp paper towel and voila, good as new. The seller could have done a better job taking a better picture because the game is in great condition. Works like a charm.  Here it is:

Hey if your happy that is all that matters but i always find it funny when someone pays to much for something especially on ebay they find a way to justify why they did :P Congrats on getting MC but you paid to much in my books.

Thanks for your insight Sparky. You are right, $560 is an awfully steep price to pay. But every year the price keeps increasing out of control. I remember thinking that $250 was a ridiculous price to pay back in '02 or '03. Now look at its FMV. I thought this was the best buy low opportunity as I could get on ebay because of all of the factors mentioned above and also because we are at the tail end of the recession. And besides, you will almost never find turbo games at thrift shops, flea markets, etc. Unless someone sells a copy of MC on this site, I don't see the game selling any lower than it did when I bought it.

BTW, are copies of Magical Chase regularly sold here?

They are not sold here ever actually.

I was the guy you just outbid on that last auction.  Just out of curiosity, what was your max bid?

My max bid was $581.13. I kind of digg odd numbers. Better luck next time. I would have posted earlier, but it took over two weeks for the admins to accept my registration.

It surprises me that no copies of Magical Chase have ever been sold here. I mean this site has a trades section. Moreover, ebay gets a commision on the $ amount sold.

because you have been here since what... 2009 :P. Hell i am no long term member here either but there are deals/ helping going on throw members of this forum for MC and other hard to find games.

I know i would keep certain people in mind if i found a spare MC or a hard to find game. Would ask around privately before opening it up to the boards, This place does not work like ebay.

and do not get me wrong its is not an elite club either... but i am not going to sell a spare MC to a brand new guy here first without asking around if other members want it. Maybe that is just me but that is how i works. huggles :)

it is a patient game finding these so called RARE games... and if you don't gots the patients than enjoy ebay and the so called "market value" :P

Hey Sparky I'm just curious, did you purchase MC thru these forums? It is very cool that you guys help each other out get hard to find games. If you know of anybody that is selling a spare Magical Chase manual, I would appreciate it if you could let me know.  :)
