Can anyone rip Amiga disks onto the PC in adf format?

After a couple of false starts, the cable seems to be working. Now I have the unenviable task of transferring tens of disks over at very slow speeds. I've had a couple of read errors so far - hopefully most of what I want will be OK, I have so many disks stuffed with old graphics - looking forward to seeing them all again.

You have to share some of this stuff ASAP!



If I had my old Apple II stuff, I'd show you the old games/art/demos that I made back in the day.

yes, the speed is awful.  Try transferring like, 3gb of stuff over one of those onto a HDD in the Amiga.

Its torture.


Its inevitable that some disks wont read right.   Try using a FDD cleaner, and a few attempts.  Some might surprise you in the end

I have an absolute truck load of stuff that I never remembere I did. I plan to compile it all, video a lot of it for YouTube and put a couple of .adf files online (not all unfortunately for security reasons). There's a lot of nods to PC Engine games in a lot of my Amiga projects. I'm starting to put together a misc Sunteam site that will catalogue much of my other things, and these will be one section.

Here are a few pics I did that I'm very proud of, even though I didn't finish all of them. Drawn by hand (copied from Star Wars art books), no scanners in those days!

Yes, DPaint II. Amazing bit of software.

OK I have to stop posting these and get round to sorting them all out properly, but here are a couple more:

We got very far with it. It was pretty much a Doraemon clone and used samples from PC Engine and Mega Drive for the music. The limitations of AMOS meant that it ended up slower and jerkier than we wanted (we actually visited EA and Thalamus to show them in case they were interested in publishing). I'll eventually put the .adf files up for people to download.
