AC adapter replacement equivalents available?
« on: March 29, 2010, 08:39:27 AM »
I got a Turbografx, power base, and CD unit.  But NO AC adapter!  Am I SOL- or is there a safe replacement equivalent out there that I can use to get it going?

I'd just buy this OEM adapter.  It's a sweet deal.  :^o

The little search button tells me that you can use Radio Shack's 273-358 adapter with tip 'N'.  Note that the part number has changed from part no. 273-1775 (as mentioned in past threads), for this adapter (with identical specs) is what comes up when you search for the old number on Radio Shack's site.

Yeah you can actually go right INTO radio shack, with the turbo unit in hand, and they, at least around here.... have all the adaptaplugs hanging off of a display that you can test out with your unit.

then you just get the AC adapter with the right voltage readout, and make sure you stick the tip on the right way for the polarity of the system.

I did this for a duo-r, but the tip is different.  I forget what one I needed.
