Has anybody here played Hyper Dragon Ball Z? It's a Mugen Fan-game based on the DBZ series, and it's AMAZING! It's the Dragon Ball fighting game I've always wanted to play! (Basically a traditional fighter with a DBZ coat of paint) it plays kinda like Killer Instinct on the SNES, where you have to chain combos together and hope that your opponent doesn't break'em, only with even more spectacle...

I've been playing it for a few weekends but I've only just managed to finish it, it's pretty hard, but it's the good kind of difficult, as in it's pretty rewarding once you get the hang of it and start laying the smack-down on your opponent! Damn I'm loving this game...

Only two gripes, there's no pause button, at least not that I'm aware of, but this is a Mugen problem, not the game's problem, and there's not a single female playable character... I mean c'mon! Where's Videl or Android '18? How come Mr. Satan is a playable character but his much more competent daughter isn't?
Also, I wasn't too keen on the soundtrack, I mean, it's not bad or anything, but I was glad to replace it with the very nostalgic soundtracks from the DBZ Super Butouden games on the SNES, now THAT's the soundtrack I associate with Dragon Ball fighting game action! (Even if the Super Butouden games are kind of crap)

I main Gohan btw, he's one of the faster but less-strong characters, but it's real easy to chain combos together as him...

Heard of it i've watch live streams of it looks neat.Though i am waiting on arc system works dragon ball fighter z,they really know how to make a good fighters.

I've only found out about it because of DB FighterZ's announcement, and yeah, it looks amazing! But I'm afraid it might not run very well on my PC... Hopefully it will, I wouldn't mind playing it in lower settings either...

I don't know,if the pc version for requirements will be high or not to run it.The game will be running on the unreal engine just like it did with the recent guilty gear.I remember hearing the rumors about it coming and it was a pleasant surprise to me.

Spent a couple more hours last night plugging away at Final Fantasy XV on the Xbone.  Got through Chapter 3.  Yay....

I think the game is alright honestly.

On the RPG note, I finally beat South Park Stick of Truth.

I really enjoyed the game, but I can't imagine 100% clearing it.
I got ~70% and that was plenty of game.

Also, I played as the Jew. Partnering that with Jimmy was kinda broken between status effects and PP regeneration

I liked the Stick of Truth a lot. It was average gameplay but as a fan of the show, i found it very enjoyable.

Just started Doom 3 BFG on PS3. I'm glad they got it updated from Xbox but the button mapping is pretty stupid.
Arkhan: Im not butthurt by your enjoyment.  Im buttglad.

Haven't played much lately, apart from another run through Bonk 2.

Last month I played Vanquish and Postal 2 (with expansions)

Waiting for Mario Odyssey to come out.

Got real sick of Dead by Daylight; I feel like the balance of the game is fooked.
plus, there's so many reports of people losing all of their progress that idk if I'll really stick with it.

so i took a hard right at Albuquerque and started playing Postal 2 for the first time in almost 10 years.
It still holds up; at least I think it does.
I'm playing the nonviolent route just to see what happens, and I think the game is way easier oddly enough.

Postal 2 is still a classic, even if it technically isn’t great. The weekend expansion unfortunately is linear and violence only, but it’s fun hacking terrorists with the machete. Paradise lost has pacifist options but it’s tougher.

Anybody try battle mobile on the snes? It’s like spy hunter on steroids! Pretty unknown

Just looked up gameplay on Youtube. Looks like a lot of fun. Is it Japan only? I could see that being the reason it's unknown.

I will always have a soft spot for this dumb ass game.
I beat the game pacifist, but didn't get the achievement since i was playing the mode where it took you directly to the expansion.
so i played through again, then I got it.

I'm almost done with another playthrough, just screwing around picking up some of the other odd achievements like "kill X amount of people with Y"

Recently got a bit into Silpheed, for the Mega CD.

Rather simple top-down shooter presented in a visual style that must have been impressive for its time.
Solid enough though to be enjoyable.

It did drive me a bit nuts though until I found a system that it would work on. Apparently, this particular game is taxing for the hardware as a whole. In fact, I've read that Silpheed is the best test for the CD drive on a MEGA/SEGA-CD unit. If the drive is bad or misaligned you won't be able to play even if the disc is perfectly fine.
