TurboGrafx-16 CES Display
« on: June 02, 2010, 08:44:22 AM »
I didn't see this posted anywhere. Sorry if I missed the thread.

Anyway, thought this was cool:
http://cgi.ebay.com/Turbografx-1991-CES-booth-display-ONE-KIND-/260610961990#ht_500wt_1154

It's the CES booth display from 1991; a 3'x2' kiosk display showing off a bunch of games. Currently, the bid is around $150. Very cool for a collector of such things.
Games I Need: Bonk 3 (HuCard), Legend of Hero Tonma, Magical Chase, Soldier Blade, Super Air Zonk.

Got one to sell? PM me!

I've been watching it since the day it was posted.  I don't believe it was a CES piece, I think it was the same display you would find in stores that sold Turbo stuff...  I look forward to bidding on this one.
All is well. :)

Yeah, I was the first bidder on it.  I remember it being in Babbages - remember the flip cards vividly... now if he only has the demo discs....
Wanted:
Bootleg Hucards (Hong Kong, China)
Third Party Hardware (US, Japan, China, Europe, Korea)
Canadian Boxes and Manuals (French text)
Ton's of Trades available - just PM me.

I'm not going over $1k for it, but right now it's a steal.

I bought this brand new with orginial shipping BOX for $120 and that seller mailed with no outer box to cover the orginial and USPS wrote some markers on the box.  I got upset but send it back to get refund.  that was about 4 months ago.

NOW THIS GOES too high! ARRGHHH lol..

Did you take pictures of the box or see who it was originally sent to?  Like henry, I doubt that it was made for the CES show.

I had contacted the seller and he claimed he had other stuff but was waiting to see how this auction went.  I predict that we need to move this thread to the "gouging much?" thread....

It's not really gouging.  He put it up for a $99 starting bid.
All is well. :)
