Howdy-

I've got a big stack of PCE games (& 1 Super Grafx game).  Through several searches, I've managed to ID almost all of them.  I'd be very grateful if you folks could confirm my work & fill in the blanks.  Also, I'm trying to get a feel for the value of these games, as I'll likely be selling/trading many of these in the near-ish future (not quite ready to take offers yet, but my ears are certainly open).

Thank you very much,
-Jason

Number 11 is Fire Pro Wrestling (HM89001) and number 17 is correctly spelled VolfieV ( ); I'm not sure what number 18 is.

Actually, that's a long running joke around here; the stylistic font they used makes it look like VolfieV, but it's real name if Volfied.  I thought you were playing along with the joke, but I had to point out that it works better with a capital V.

Hey, any ideas on values of all of these games?  Is there a handy PCE price guide somewhere?

Thanks,
-Jason

Most of these games are pretty low-end, value-wise. Maybe $7 one day, maybe $12 the next. Actual price on fodder PCE games changes like the wind, and honestly isn't worth paying attention to. I paid a grand total of $16.25 for ALL the Momotaro games on PCE, and one of them was $15. It wasn't one of the ones you have :)

A few that aren't in that category, Winds of Thunder, L-Dis, Battle Ace, Galaga 88 (maybe), PC Denjin, Alien Crush, some stuff I'm not remembering,...these are in the $10-30 range. Stuff like The Kung Fu, Bomberman 1, Bonk 1, etc...they usually go for less than shipping.

I'm not saying that you don't have some good games here, you have some GREAT games here, they just aren't worth messing around trying to get the best price on since you are only talking about a buck or two difference between highest and lowest common price.

What's with the 2nd picture?  I see lots of strange Korean labels.  Are those official Korean Vistar releases?  Or are they imported PCE games with a local shop's stickers on them?

RR1980: nope, the white PCE is still stock, unmodded.  I was able to tune in the signal through my DVD/VCR/digital receiver box (with just a smidge of fuzz...but I'm pretty uptight about good picture quality--others might not think it too bad...).  (https://www.pcenginefx.com/forums/index.php?topic=8179.msg138601#msg138601)  Oh, unlike the rest of the items in my long top post, I know that I *do* want to sell off the PCE at any time, so feel free to make offers on that item, folks.

SignOfZeta: thanks for the info & your insight.  I did find a rarity guide on digitalpress.com, but I guess there's no price guide out there--I can always browse some completed eBay auctions or amazon for a bit of an idea on individual game values.

SuperDeadite: I bought those 4 games in Korea, so I'd say that they're official Korean releases.  They fire up on my PC Engine & *not* on my US Turbo Duo.  So, I guess the Korean releases were Japanese PCE cards with official stickers on them.  My wife reads Korean.  The top sticker is a translation of the English bullet points printed on the bottom of the card, and the bottom sticker is specs (mfger, date, etc.).

Thanks,
-Jason

DP's "rarity" guide is often skewed...plus rarity doesn't always equal prices.

I'm surprised that nobody's IDed #18 yet.  Let me present a better picture for you folks.

Does that help?

Thanks,
