Playing HuCard "roms" on a CD on a console?
« on: July 21, 2005, 05:34:38 AM »
Hi everyone,

I was wondering if anyone had ever worked on a way to burn HuCard roms onto a CD so that they can be played on a Turbo Duo or TG16+Cd console?

I had heard of someone working on this for the SegaCD (to play Sega Genesis rom games on the CD unit) but that project had been abandoned last I heard - and this was quite a while ago.

Is this something that is even possible?  Obviously, someone would need to know how to program some type of boot loader for the CD and then somehow tell the duo to run the game.  I, unfortunately, do not have these skills.

There was some king of development going on for this, but I don't know much details.

Adding PCE console specific layer on top of that, makes for an interesting challenge (no, not a reference to Ys II).
