Falcon and Gunboat are crap games 2 and 3 after Ballistix for me.

I think each of these games may have potential for someone willing to put some effort into them...  problem is I don't think I ever want to put in that effort.

Ballistix is just shallow.  I think Bonk Volleyball from Bonk 3 CD has more depth.

Ballistix is fun if you remember that its from the Amiga

:D  Everything sucks on the Amiga!

Despite the repeated attempts to convince me that JJ/Chan/Chan is anything but horrible after beating it in the arcade (the machine was open, hence free gameplay) and getting close to beating it on my old Turbo, I have purchased a copy from another forum member for the sum of $1 to beat the game and continue my tirade with added legitimacy.

JJ and Jeff is a shitpile.

I cry a single tear of confusion and pity.

Honestly, anyone who thinks that JJ and Jeff or Fatal Fury 2 are uniquely bad games has lead a very sheltered life. Even if you only collect US stuff, haven't you played Darkwing Duck?

Don't waste the tear.

I only have 4 American loose hueys (JJ being one now) and collect PCE exclusively. I intentionally avoid American games.

As far as Darkwing Duck; Yes I've played it, I got to stage 4. I'd rather play DWD or Impossamole than JJ any day of the week. But neither are very much better. In fact, all three games are craptastic imo.

If not liking a retarded platformer makes me sheltered, then I guess you guys are out in the rain.

Umbrellas anyone?

Talespin is way worse than anything mentioned here, but I realize it's not technically a "PCE" game since it wasn't released in Japan.

I'm actually quite surprised the TG was able to get licensed products like TaleSpin and DarkWing Duck (why couldn't they just give us a 16bit Ducktales or Rescue Rangers :(  ) but couldn't get their hands on releases from Konami or any of the other companies who've been releasing sure fire hits on the PCE...

See, Talespin & Impossamole I actually enjoy, despite the fact that Talespin is just a subpar game, & Impossamole, well, it has it's issue's.  Worst game?  Legion is up there, as is Deep Blue & Drop Off, not to mention Darkwing Duck.

I think nearly anything sports related has to be the worst games for the PCE. I haven't dabbled in the soccer games but most main stream sports titles for the system are TERRIBLE. This I judge purely by comparison. NES, Genesis, and SNES ALL had decent-great sports titles. The PCE had abysmal sports titles. Some decent Baseball titles and John Madden does not make a good sports line up. The rest are weak at best.... some mediocre Tennis and Golf games here and there as well. TV Sports Football, Hockey, Basketball, Takin' it to the Hoop, Champions Forever, Jack Nicholas Golf, Power Golf, World Court Tennis.... there really is a barren wasteland of sports titles.

Which makes the system even more sympathic!

But to say, it really has some good socker games. And that is comming from a guy which in generally hates soccer. Also some decent golf games.

I dont know man... I hate sports but I enjoyed:

Davis Cup Tennis
World Court Tennis
Power Golf
Takin it to the Hoop
and does dodgeball count?

those were all pretty fun.

I liked the Quest mode to Tennis.

THIS IS CHICAGO.

and you are TOTALLY on an Island.  lol

Oh I love the RPG Element to World Court Tennis and I enjoyed Power Golf. But, Hal Hole in One Golf on SNES was fantastic, the PGA games were great (well not the first one). I do think the Tennis games were decent, a bit bland, but I guess, its Tennis yah know. But the NES version of Dodgeball was better in my opinion (also I didn't have to import it or have an adapter to play it) and there isn't a basketball game on the system that compares to NCAA Basketball (I personally loved this game), the later EA Basketball titles, and certainly not NBA Jam. Plus, honestly, I think that the PCE fan is a special breed of gamer, we have soft spots for games with a keen eye for underappreciated (and underrated) games. Which was always one reason I personally loved the system. So we have a slightly skewed sense of greatness and a higher tolerance for all things mediocre.

Sport game wise for me, it is really hard to beat the following:

Tennis: Davis Cup on PCE.  I like the strategy/controls involved.
Soccer: Formation Soccer on PCE, though no soccer game is really any good to me.
Football: Tecmo on NES.  Duh.    or sometimes Cyberball, lol.
Hockey: Blades of Steel on NES.
Basketball: Takin it to the Hoop! PCE
Baseball: Little League Baseball on NES.  Baseball stars is fun but for some reason I like this one more.

If I ever want to sports game, I go to one of these games.

Did I miss a sport thats worth mentioning?

Final Match Tennis is just the best tennis sim EVER.
Formation Soccer 95 is almost as good as a FIFA could be on the Genesis.
Power League are pretty good baseball games to me (even though I don't like that sport).

And how about Takin it to the Hoop and Super Volleyball, that are decent arcade sport sims?
