I cast my vote for ether Energy or Golden Axe. I would vote Deep Blue but the reason I can't play that game is due to the horrid music... the gameplay itself gets better as you practice... and practice... and practice... but neither Energy nor Golden Axe have any saving graces. Both suck hardcore. HARDCORE.

I mentioned Energy back on page one of this thread. To really see how crappy it is you have to see a video or play it yourself. Even so, as bad as it is, its still better than Fantastic Four on PS1 or Superman 64.

Energy is a decent game.   Yeah it's kinda gimpy, but its at least got some charm.   The scenery/setting is pretty cool, and while the controls do suck a fat one, its still alright.

I can't get through the subway station, I always get utterly raped before even passing through half the upper path !

Wonder Momo.  God, what a horrible game.

And to top it off, Wonder Momo is also associated with the worst song video clip I've ever seen/heard in my life.

Wonder Momo. That game is mind-numbingly bad.

Wonder Momo is better than bottom-tier crap like Xevious, Genpei Toumaden, and Talespin... But not by much. At least it's an interesting premise.

I'm having a hard time thinking of a Duo game that is worse than Xevious, Genpei, or Talespin. Oh, I guess there is KLAX. And JJ and Jeff. It really doesn't get much worse than those five.

I laugh hysterically at anyone who thinks that Deep Blue is even close to the same league as these heaps of detritus.

Klax is retarded and the logo is like a bad 90s rap music video, summed up into one stupid hand.

I really liked Genpei Toumaden.  Whats wrong with it?!

Interesting ideas gone horribly, horribly wrong. Some of the worst visuals on the console (not all of them, but some). Horrendous controls. Throw it all together to make one of the worst shitstorms on the system.

At least Namco did right by taking the positive elements and constructing Samurai Ghost, a much better game.

yeah with that cover and the game idea you really expected something really awesome and right the way you would noticed that the graphics aren't quite up to snuff and the controls are terrible but I guess the first one must have sold well enough that it warranted a sequel

Wonder MoMo is very fun.

I don't know about "very fun", but it's a least a C- game, which is more than I can say for Genpei Toumaden.

Really though this discussion has made me realize that even the worst PCE games aren't really that bad. There are at least 50 Famicom games that are worse than Energy on PCE. Also, 50 worse games on PS1, C64, and about 200 worse games on 2600.

The hate for Wonder Mono and Kato and Ken...again, people live sheltered lives. Compare to say...Kinnukuman on Famicom. I mean, I LOVE Kinnikuman as a manga (have for decades) but that is a HORRIBLE game. Those Wisdom Tree games for NES? What about the Ikari ports on Famicom? Fantastic Four for PS1? Just about any 2600 game that isn't Combat, Warlords, or Pitfall? Awesome Possum?!?

I'd actually say that the worst PCE games are probably the sim shit like Graduation (just because you either have to be a pederast or 12 years old to not be totally creeped out by them) or the most anticlimactic thing of all: HuCard digital comics which are just boring as hell (and language has nothing to do with it). Then of course there is the mahjong and pachi-slot BS...but even those are all just inherently shitty concepts, not badly made games.

There are incredulous responses everywhere, but in the end, they're all just opinions.  And you know what they say, opinions are like a$$holes...

I also think a lot of these games that are being named are nowhere near the worst game, let alone bad -- and some, I think are outright good!  Games like Xevious, Klax, KCKC, China Warrior, & NES Ikari games, I had fun with at one point or another.  Hell, even MUSCLE wasn't half bad when playing with a friend (though to be honest, that was when I was like 9 - I recenly tried it again within the past year, and it did suck pretty bad).

OK, Klax might have to be one of the worst I've played.

To me, Xevious plays like a typical shooter and is, by far, nowhere near bottom-tier - it's nowhere near top-tier action, i.e. Nexzr, either. I guess I find sci-fi more interesting than some girl fighting clumsily on a stage. Kung-Fu and Vigilante play better than Wonder Momo and I don't particularly think much of those games. That's just my a$$hole...I mean opinion.
