Dont throw up the camouflage Roy and make out your such a good guy.... you screwed these forum communities and ran with there stuff to ebay, not even giving anyone a chance to buy the stuff here.
Look at all the post you have here looking for stuff... and the help you have received... real nice guy Roy, real nice.

These are the comments I love Sparky.  Think about it.  I bought 98% of my Turbo stuff on eBay (which you guys love to bash left and right).  Hell you and others have made fun of me and others that shop eBay how many times?  You piss and moan and make your own little clubs against eBay, yet I'm supposed to take the 98% of the stuff I bought THERE and sell it here?  What makes you so special that you deserve and are entitled to get MY stuff?

Just because I made posts looking for stuff to buy here doesn't mean I got it all here.

RoyVegas, if you're reading this, you are barred from the competition.  Any entry you make will be laughed at, and deleted.

Don't worry Ark, I made enough profit on your games to not need any more.  While you take your petty little shots at me, in the end I'm the one who's laughing.

ban plz

That's a little one sided don't ya think?  He can take shots at me calling me tons of names, telling me he hopes I get my house and it burns down, insults my family, calls me a pussy and a retard in shout but I can't comment back.  How one sided would a ban be?

Why are you bitching and moaning now?  You said you knew everyone would be pissed off -- you KNEW you'd get flack from the community here -- so deal with it, or just go away.

I am dealing with it.  Im responding, which is what forums are for right?  I know alot of people are looking for me to mouth off.  I know I'm being taunted in hopes that I blow up.  People are digging to get me banned, of course that's why they're poking at me...  I've done nothing but sell my own shit for prices people don't like, other than that cry me a river.

I'm not gonna respond in this thread any more as Ark is right, it's his thread for his contest (although he did take the first poke with his lame lil fine print).  He should of expected a response from me.  If some of you would like to have it out in another thread of childish name calling, be my guest and make one.

Personally (ducks the punches)

I hope Roy get's all he needs out of his collection to get his house and maintain it for his kids and himself. Videogames vs Life hmmmmm.......there is no comparison. It's just a hobby. Roy Re-assessed his situation and is grabbing the bull by the horns and putting together what he needs too. He paid alot of money  for his collection he got some deals and he didn't get any deals at the same time. Besides it's his to do with as he pleases he paid the money for the stuff nobody else did.

This all disagrees with what you said to me in private. ;)

He didn't put a years worth of work into a homebrew game.  Noone deserves >30$ for the work except the actual members who did it. It was made to be enjoyed and collected, not resold.

All the other fast reselling bullshit is fine, whatever.  Some people are just useless dicks that want to profit no matter who gets hosed.  Still ironic hes the author of the gouging thread when hes the biggest gouger here.

yknow, since he jacked a homebrew game up in price to buy a house.

Here's a novel idea: Save money and quit buying crap on ebay to wave your dick around and go HAH LOOKIT WHAT I GOTS.

Maybe you missed the fact that I decided in all of the time span of a WEEK to buy a house.  It wasn't planned.  Had I known at the time I was going to buy a house, I wouldn't have bought it all.  Ok, I'm guilty of poor planning but you love to just act like I'm in some horrible financial situation.  If that was the case how are all of my credit cards paid off and I still have 75% of my collection left?  You're just talking out of your ass.  If I was in such horrible shape with my credit card debt (as you claim) and I make no money (as you claim) how exactly did I get a loan for a house?   :-k

ah shit, not more of this.... REALLY.

OK, Ark, he has a right to have issue, Roy trying to make a (extra) buck (or two (hundred)) off of a Homebrew title that is still readily available, is shady dealings worthy of being blackballed as a seller. Also the means by which he came across this  "collectible" version of the game makes the whole issue underhanded. So Arkhan, has a right to be upset and in traditional Arkhan style, does it through a series of out of control outbursts and insults. I think we have all seen this acouple of times before, its no shock. In fact, its expected really. Should we tolerate it (personally, I don't care one way or that other, its part of his odd charm to me), thats up for debate at another time, in another place, still, its no suprise.

Now, Roy, yeah OK, your getting a house that you decided to buy in a week (which I will say is the perfect amount of time to make such a life alteringly huge decision). Thats all well and good but you should have thought before you acted and if you did think before you acted then accept the consequences of your decision. It seems that there is nothing you can say to salve this wound. You have bitten this community twice and in such a business driven (so to speak) community, like this one, that may have been one to many bites. You unabashedly are unconcerned with what you did, you feel justified. Thats fine, stop trying to smooth it over and just let the (Hu)cards fall where they will and move on.

A large portion of this community have spoken as to what they think, that doesn't make there opinions an answer, just a guide. Personally I always enjoyed your comments but as a person developing games for this community I am at a loss as to what to think of it. I'm not making games for people to buy houses with, I just want to make a game people are going to enjoy an treasure as much as I do my Turbo games.

I for one, won't be participating in the contest, I don't have a copy of Insanity....

Thanks for stepping in and being a mediator. :) Each side of this has their valid points, though a bit lopsided IMO. Arkhan is justifiably pissed, and Roy made a big decision in deciding to buy a house.

Arkhan, shit like this happens man. It shouldn't, but it does.

Roy, I congratulate you in the purchase of your new home. Getting a loan isn't easy. I just wish you went about it in a different way. You got your loan so you shouldn't really need any outside funding. The bank loaned you all you would need to buy your house. Just your payments were going to be slightly higher if you didn't have the two or three grand extra to lay down through selling parts of your collection. If it was me I would have paid the extra in monthly payments and kept my collection.

Cool, a couple calmer people about the issue.  Don't get me wrong here guys I'm not saying Ark should be the happiest camper about me selling his games for more than I paid for them.  But I also don't think it makes me some horrible person.  I didn't really WANT to sell off my collection, but when you're talking about making life easier on your family, do you keep the games or live better daily?  Noone will argue that family comes first(except this case, apparently some people think I should have thought about the community here first).

Some people have acted like it's some sob story, family blah blah.  There's no sob story to it, being a single parent I'm making day to day living easier on myself and my kids.  I ask myself why I even bother trying to explain it when most of what I say will fall on deaf ears.

Mathius:  You say the home loan will cover all my costs so I don't really need much money.  What about utilities set ups, moving, new furniture, odds and ends and unexpected costs?  I wanted to make sure all of my bills were paid off (which they are now) to have more money each month to live on.  You mention that the extra 2-3 thousand dollars won't help much.  We aren't talking that little of an amount of money at all.  So far I've sold over $8000 in games and I haven't even sold 1/2 my collection yet.  Granted a lot of the high dollar games are gone but I still have some high ticket games, systems and tons of mid range stuff left and I haven't even listed everything yet.  We aren't talking chump change and with the amount of money wrapped up in it, it really WILL help.

All is well. :)

hahahaha... of coarse Roy family comes first but how about maybe just thinking of the community a little before you list all your stuff on ebay? It was a place you signed up and thought was good enough to hang out with 800 plus posts later and many want lists.

How hard is it to ask over here or on digitpress (where you have bought at least 22 times) if anyone would like to buy any of your games?

Sure, I could have asked.  That plays both ways does it not?  There were a handful of people that took the inititive and the time to send me messages and ask me if we could work out deals on stuff they wanted that they knew I had.  They are happily sitting with their games at home and enjoying them right now.  They took the time to see if we could work out a deal, and we did.  Some people just choose to sit back and complain.  All those people ended up with is a handful of nothing and their bitter attitudes.  Alot of my high end stuff ended up in the hands of members here that took a few minutes of their time to make deals with me.  Hell if someone can't even take the time to send me a message and ask, well that's their lazyness and their problem.  You shouldn't assume that all of my stuff sold on eBay because it didn't.
All is well. :)

FAMILY HOME: FUNDED BY SELLING CD-R'S OF PEOPLES HARD WORK ON EBAY.

TRUE STORY.

Also, calm, lol.  To hell with calm!  You know how I roll, you knew what would happen, you did it anyways.  You chose to piss on the electric fence, so enjoy the cockshock.

You were all gangstalicious about the whole thing.  LOOKIT ME I DONE SELLED LIKE 3800$ SO FAR LOL.  Did you really need to hock community efforts?  I mean I'm glad they went to someone whos probably less of a colon cowboy.  but, you just had to have them for your collection.

You aren't a collector.  You're a backstabbing tool.

Now that shits done hit the fan, you are catching the flack of vehement PCE fans who are defending the further development of games for the system.  You clearly aren't interested in that and would rather discourage it for the sake of an extra couple bucks off a payment.  Ass.

Also, way to back peddle like a sissy.  At least I took the situation by the balls.  My new friggin tagline should be

WHAT HAPPENS IN VEGAS, GETS DESTROYED BY ARKHAN

and this sums it up so good.  This is you, mr. armydewd.
