Ebay has policies in place now so you cannot do shill bidding if another account has the same address or if there is even any form of knowing one another. I remember that my sis was selling a phone on there a while back(we live in separate states) and when I tried to bid on it I got a warning message from ebay saying that if I continued I could be penalized so I didn't.

Not saying that it isn't possible. I'm just saying that they watch that very closely.

Shill bidding has begun on the below auction auction. plcards is using his other name (cars856) to jack up price. cars856 is currently the high bidder. I recommend all my compatriots in this thread report the item for shill bidding!

http://www.ebay.com/itm/The-Dynastic-Hero-TurboGrafx-16-Complete-TG-TG16-Turbo-Duo-/140866196637?pt=Video_Games_Games&hash=item20cc47949d

Report item here: http://ocs.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ReportItemMember&items=140866196637&seller=plcards&active=1&state=1

Category: Listing practices
Reason for Report: Fraudulent listing activities
Detailed Reason: Seller is using other accounts to inflate item price

Where do you see cars856?  I see 5***5 as the highest bidder.  c*****6 is nowhere to be seen.
I'm busy playing pinball, but I still drop by to visit.

Gouge or not? - $800 for Sankokushi Eiketsu Tenka Ni Nozomu in non-minty and incomplete condition (some staining and it's missing the map and binder).

I say thats a definite gouge as I got that game in a lot with Dracula X. Although it didn't have all the extras with it but still $800 for maybe a $8 game.

You can't see it but if you look at other auctions cars856 has won off plcards you can conclude it.

c****6 would not be what his hidden name is on there. cars856 name is hidden with 5***5. My name is sirhcman on ebay and when I make a bid mine is hidden with the following: i***a

plcards name is hidden on bids with c***d

If you look at this item (http://offer.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBids&_trksid=p2047675.l2565&rt=nc&item=120995198405) you can see that plcards sold it to 5***5. If you look at plcards feedback (http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&userid=plcards&&_trksid=p2047675.l2560&rt=nc&iid=140866196637&sspagename=VIP:feedback&ftab=FeedbackAsSeller) you can see it matches to the second item which was won by cars856

cars856 has been bidding on rc vehicles, football cards, and turbo games all being sold by plcards. Of cars856 bids over the past 30 days 84% of them have been to plcards account. With these factors, the 5***5 hidden name, the feedback for i****a being the same as cars856 it is stands to reason that it is one in the same.

plcards sold baby formula to cars856 even.. http://offer.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBids&_trksid=p2047675.l2565&rt=nc&item=140806008209
August 28th feedback: http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&userid=cars856&ftab=FeedbackLeftForOthers

Lastly cars856 "sold" a fatboy front fender on ebay to plcards. It would be a lot of amazing coincidences if this wasn't shill bidding. Second item on the following link: http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&userid=cars856&ftab=FeedbackAsSeller

Be aware that plcards also opened up this account tp60000 and has started buying and selling under that name as well. http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&userid=tp60000&ftab=AllFeedback&rt=nc

At the very least it could be 2 people working together but my suspicion it is one person. You can have two different names/addresses tied to each account and can even proxy or spoof your ip to make sure one isn't the same as the other. Either way it is shill bidding in my opinion and I believe the auction I spoke about prior should be reported.

Hopefully all the gibberish above makes sense. If you guys don't approve that this should be in the ebay gouging thread I will delete, I just feel it my duty to help the thread rid ebay of this shill bidding crap on our beloved turbos.

I am very sure that is whats going on.  Its so easy to create auctions, shill bid and then reverse the sale after its sold to avoid fees.
Games currently in play:
PS3: COD Ghosts
TG16: Boxyboy

Yes I reported it through their form which I mentioned earlier (see below), unfortunately there is no way for me to give them all the above detailed info since you can only select answers from drop down boxes.

The the PCE version of Parasol Stars really worth more than the US version?  Usually Hit-Japan has pretty good prices, but I'm not so sure about this one.

Well, it looks like he sold one, though he does usually take pretty significant price cuts if you bargain with him.

Yeah, it is, but I don't know if it's worth that much. We recently had a thread about which PCE games are worth more than their U.S. couterparts, but I can't find it.

Check out this new Japanese eBay seller, seems he's a bit too optimistic on the value of retro hardware.

E.g. http://www.ebay.com/itm/PC-Engine-Console-System-NEC-White-GAME-JAPAN-/281002919471?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item416d14462f

$185 for a loose PCE? Yeah right!

Check his other items too for more fun, he wants $235 for a loose Mega Drive and don't even look at his Famicom gear.

Plcards done lost his mind:

Don't have to worry about him placing fake bids to inflate his price anymore.... I guess....
