What the hell is wrong with Nintendo owners? Do they think they have the only video game console ever made? or the only games worth anything? These guys are f*cking stupid. I own a Nintendo, in fact I own many Nintendo systems and games but I don't see them as $$$ dollar signs, I see them as entertainment. If you want to make money on a hobby get in to baseball cards and wait 50 years. For Christ sake BOYCOTT NINTENDO AGE, It seems like there are way too many douches and not enough vaginas to clean over there. I could be wrong, after reading a few post, there are a lot of "I have sand in my vag" members........who knows, who cares, let them do what they want, you won't see me over there.

Nah screw that.  I have a 25 year old Topps baseball set that isnt worth much more than it was in 1990.  Its getting ready for the garbage can.  I can flip OMG rares and make more money!

Don't throw em away.....needs 25 more years lol and much much minty then you can retire on it like these other clowns think they will.

Oh wait, did I say "crazy?" What I meant to say was, uh.... :-k ... no, I think "crazy" nails it. That place is a damn madhouse.

Like any forum, though, I'm sure there are plenty of good people there.

Still, I'm glad I limit my Neo Geo collecting to MVS carts... I don't think I could handle the unbridled madness that is AES collecting.

The majority of my Neo Geo games are MVS since it's all about the games to me.

Even those can get quite out of hand. I would have written off Neo Geo consoles altogether if it weren't for Breetai aka Firebomber7, who convinced me to at least get a NGCD. Between that and the 6th gen ports, I'm quite satisfied.

Didn't really deserve its own thread, but I thought the folks of this thread would appreciate it.

True true. No money in BB cards. Anything that is made to be collectable is crap. What breeds collect ability is nostalgia and limited supply. Anything made to be collected ends up being garbage.

And never forget, no matter what a price guide says something is "worth", its only worth how much someone is willing to pay for it, which is usually drastically less than what a price guide quotes

Yup, the money is in stuff that's made for kids.  Most kids are horrible monsters and will destroy the items.  Years later they'll realize their own mortality and try to surround themselves in things from their childhood for comfort.

That's when you gouge them.

If something was made to collect, everyone that bought it will take care of it and wait for the price to go up.  It never will because every idiot has it and no one cares.

This is awesome.

Dad to son, "Son, what do you want to be when you grow up?"

Son replies "A reseller!"

I'm busy playing pinball, but I still drop by to visit.

There's no list in the description, but it looks like it works out to $1000 per game.
