I'm not sure how you can keep anything and break even

I imagine he'll be selling everything at inflated prices. From what I've seen, some of these people walk into swap meets just loaded. And except to drop big money and walk out with cool stuff. Not realistically looking at what's an appropriate amount to spend.

It was actually $6,500 he spent btw, like 6K wasn't bad enough right

Not really a gouging story, but more of the opposite.

So I put my Turbob collection up on a local gaming FB group. Not for sale, just to show off a little.
Now, it is nothing remarkable. A PCE Duo with region switch from Keith Courage, a multi tap, 5 controllers, and 13 games.

I had someone ask me if I'd be willing to sell. I told him to make me an offer. So he says he did some "research" online and found bundles like mine on Ebay for $200-$250...

I told him if he is finding things like that on eBay, to go ahead and buy those instead.

Yeah, I leaned that reply years ago from dealing with buying and selling car parts. There was always one person who would pull the "Well, I can find that for $XX all day long on (eBay, local forum, online..).

I actually did it before awhile back when someone made me an offer on a game I wasn't even looking to sell as well. They said well it's $x.xx at Gamestop. I was like okay go buy it from Gamestop and good luck finding one complete or at all...

Didn't sell, better raise the price another $250.

Ha!  Maybe his wife is nagging but he doesn't really want to part with it.

"Sorry, honey, but nobody wants it.  I guess I'll have to keep it."
