Maybe a good way is to psyc them out, like dude your lot of 9 turbos is only $200 auction style, shit I would probably pay $400 if you took the auction down. :)

saw thishttp://cgi.ebay.com/VERY-RARE-TURBO-GRAFX-16-TURBO-DUO-CD-DUODEMO001-/220779590566?pt=Video_Games_Games&hash=item33677d33a6, and instantly thought of this posting...

Not really gouging when it's an open auction..plus this item is indeed rare (not the OMGZ ebay R@R3).

Yeah, that is Thibaut...

Speaking of PCE Dai, has anyone had trouble loading this website? I have tried visiting it all day today and yesterday, but no dice.

Same here. I asked Tats about it and he said it should be back up in a few days. He thinks they missed a payment.

Right.  He isn't doing anything to manipulate the price.  It is actually a rare item that will go to the highest bidder.
Gypsies did it.

How can it be gouging when it's not a set BIN price?  Someone can overpay, but it's bid up to that point.

IMO no. They mostly represent what people truly want to pay for something. Now there are exceptions like the $90+ Air Zonk a while back. But usually an auction's end price is what the market deems reasonable based on the quality of an item, desirability, and actual rareness.

I mean, I see where you're coming from.  I am going to do something I have never done before, quote something from wikipedia. price gouging is where a "seller prices goods or commodities much higher than is considered reasonable or fair."  So maybe the seller is not gouging, but the buyers!

Isn't that the problem with DH/MC is when they are on ebay?  Most of the peeps on this forum think they are overpriced, especially on that auction site.

I think most people say it is crazy (here) to pay big bucks for those two titles... Just throwing something on ebay without a reserve, (turbo related) is like asking people to spend more money (usually).... I guess they are indirectly "selling" at a bloated price when they put it on ebay....

I would say usually the price reflects what it is worth, but there are certainly several exceptions...

actually if you want to talk about gouging you should look at his TG16 for sale thread he's listing this item at 600 euros! Also didn't he bought this item off of a forum member to begin with?

People who try to sell stuff here for a prermium always seem to get ridiculed, but yet this guy always gets a free pass? Yeah, Thibaut bought the demo disk from some guy in Vegas..

Didn't mean to post a forum member's ebay posting, as I didn't know.

I just feel like if you buy/trade from a forum member you should not be selling said loot on ebay.  However, I would say there is a caveat or two.  Like if you get a loose part of a system or game, and complete something and then sell, or if you buy/trade a game, and then get the same game in better condition, only to sell the waterlogged, stingy or whatever game in a Keith Courage case...But other than that, you should give someone on this forum the right of first refusal. It is free to ask forum members if they want something... Basically your intent should not be to flip something without reason, only to make some money.  I am sure forum members will pay decent money for stuff... The problem is that the hyper inflated market on ebay, is very enticing obviously.  I mean someone may be willing to pay $20 for a complete Victory Run on ebay but not here, and so on and so forth.

I have never, ever, ever, ever, sold anything TG on ebay, however I have bought a bunch.  I don't like it one bit. However, I have sold several tg/games to people on craigslist, because then (tear), I know it is going to a good home, and I get to shake their hand, and look them in the eye, when they take my babies away....But at least we can reminisce about tg and how much fun it is....

I like gamegavel.com, but I have not sold anything on there, yet.
