I just saw these auctions... our bubble must be getting close to popping... these prices are absolutely insane!

I paid 79 euro for a sealed US Cotton (which I traded to Henrycsc for an opened one lol)
I paid $150* for my Beyond Shadowgate (part of a big lot)
Dont have Dynastic Hero, WONT have Dynastic Hero. lol

I dont know how much higher these prices can go...
[Sun 23:29] <Tatsujin> we have hard off, book off, house off, sports off, baby off, clothes off, jerk off, piss off etc

I had that Cotton on my watch list.  I just saw the ending price now.  Then there was that Might and Magic w/ no book and a photo copied map that went for $240.  This stuff is getting absolutely insane.  M+M went complete for $150 not to far back.  I didn't plan on bidding on either anyway just watching for furture reference.  Every week it seems like there is another game I will never own.  Guess I better pick up Gunbooat while i still can.
Gypsies did it.

Holy f*ck!  $240 for a shit ass version of M&M3?! Sold mine in mint condition for not even half that.  It went to a good home too.  Not another ebayer.  It sucks though cause a lot of people here look for it on ebay.  I just hope these aren't resellers buying us out.

lol.  I dont think its a "shit ass" version.  I had it back when I bought it from TZD, and got rid of it with my system years ago.  I loved it.   One of my favorite USA games.

Those auctions were a joke.  The guy probably had a friend bid up his rare games so he could keep them, because he didn't get the prices he wanted.  The same exact games have sold for 1/3 of the price several times in the last few months.  If there are a few more instances of sales at that price, maybe I'll believe it, but I think this is an isolated event.

Only other possibility is Bill Gates and Warren Buffet both decided they must own all TG16 games last week.

I think he was commenting on the condition of the game, scuffed case, no book, photo-copy map, not the actually game itself.  Maybe I'm wrong though but thats how I took it.

I got an idea.....its wrong, not exactly ethical........since when does that stop us.

We all are seeing the rise in prices for Ebay TG16 games.  The PC engine version of magical chase is 200.00 which i think is a little high.  The sellers of these games argue that based on ebay auctions that is the going rate.  So lets drive the average price down.

How?

Simple, just like the stock market you introduce more available quantity at a cheaper price.  Anyone of us can list the same game for sale with a legitimate picture.  Make the game FS with a BIN price of 100.00.  Another member here uses BIN and auction ends.  Buyer and seller wait a few days and Seller submits to cancel the sale.  Buyer will have to agree to cancel sale and all Final value fees are refunded.  However when searching for completed auctions you will see the game sold for 100.00.  Now you can make an offer to any MC game legitimately FS for 200.00 by arguing the recent trend for average prices is now 100.00.

All we need is to pool our resources and someone with the game take a handful of pictures with different backrounds.

Anyone feel like "Fixing" the market?

Thats all sounds good, But what about someone beating a forum member to the bin? Then you say sorry item has been sold then a few weeks he sees you list it again and that same person that got denied trys to bin again. After awhile he files a claim with ebay for false auctions and that forum member loses his ebay selling privileges.

If that happens you simply explain you tested the game and it doesnt work, it broke.  You make it so the auction requires approval to bid is one way.  You can also explain to the buyer the game got smashed in a box and you cant complete the sale.  After that you would have to step down and become the buying member.  There are enough of us here to play the selling roles.

Yeah, I was commenting on the "condition" of the game for that price.  Mine was mint when I sold it for less than half that price.

Now what others are saying about putting up BIN's for $100 that's all well and good, but I am not sure if that will really work?  Can you do a BIN and have it non paypal as payment?  Say, a money order?  That way someone can put up a $100 bin, have someone else quickly buy it now, and that way it's just done.  You don't have to go through paypal.  It looks like it just sold for $100 and the seller got his money.   Then a month later someon else can put one up for around the same price.  Rinse and repeat.

and now for something completely different.  All I have to say is "Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!"  http://www.ebay.com/itm/Dragon-Slayer-Legend-Heroes-TURBO-DUO-CD-F-Sealed-/220863978393?_trksid=p5197.m410&_trkparms=algo%3DRPSI%26itu%3DUCP%252BUA%252BMAGEXP%26otn%3D12%26po%3DLPV%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D3121750627430674946

Could you also just put up Best Offer, and only authorize the lower Best Offer from approved PCEFX members?

Just thinking out loud, here.
If anyone gets any leads on a "fair priced" copy of Coryoon, please lemme know!

I hope someone from here got that New Adventure Island w/box for $55. I've been looking for this game, with at least the manual, for a decent price forever. I'm gonna scream if it pops up in a week with a ridiculous BIN.
