WTF?http://www.ebay.com/itm/110930472742?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649#ht_500wt_1182The bidders that drove it up were "motorshops" and "wingsfire1973". No, it is not my auction, I was able to figure it out from the feedback #'s and some bidding history on my own auctions last month...

motorshops seems like a reseller, but i wasn't able to find wingsfire1973, wonder what's up with that.anywho, it's not like anyone is going to pay that realistically, there's got to be a catch, esp. since there's BIN listings for waaaaaay cheaper.

I remember when they first appeared on eBay, you could get gold or grey version for under $1,000But 27 Fk'n grand?
I don't get this. The game is disassembled. Aren't those the EPROM chips that are exposed in the photo? Don't you need to put light blocking tape over them so the EPROMs don't erase? That whole listing has me shaking my head.

That is some good detective work. Are these just rich folks, or is there some evidence of shill bidding? It wouldn't surprise me to see a couple o' crazy sealed collectors bidding the crap out of an item............That said, I'm pretty sure no one on this forum wants to have any sealed games, so the price on this particular item is meaningless here.

But the game isn't sealed.
LOL, oops. That is crazy. Now I really wanna know who these crazies are.

The thing is, shilling up an item does you no good if there isn't a serious bidder at the top. Otherwise, you are stuck with the sellers fees for an item you didn't actually sell. (Yes, there is a work-around).
