Those of us who keep in touch with Chris outside of PCEFX are aware that he is extremely busy at the moment.  Have no fear, he has relayed a full intent on continuing his Obey projects once his time frees up!  =)

You don't understand collectibles at all. The whole point of collecting games is to keep them protected inside of their sealed tamper-proof cases.
Why don't they just dip the shit in carbonite and get it over with?

A+ star wars reference.
NW: Hey, I made it on this psycho's Enemies' List, how about that ?? ;)

BT: Look at how the fake SFII' carts instantly sold out and were immediately listed on eBay before the flippers even took possession. Look at Nintendo's overpriced bricks. Look at the typical forum discussions elsewhere.

Looks like our buddy plcards is at it again...

"Sold" this item to himself since the bid didn't get up high enough: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Parasol-Stars-TurboGrafx-16-1991-Complete-Box-Rare-TG-TG16-Duo-/121027407438

Relists the item today with Buy It Now/Best Offer once it fell off his ebay "sold" history: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Parasol-Stars-TurboGrafx-16-1991-Complete-In-Box-TG-TG16-Duo-/121041203300?pt=Video_Games_Games&hash=item1c2e9e3064

FYI: He is now using a new name to shill bid his stuff up but I haven't figured it out yet.. the ebay hidden name is n***n (137). I guess after he was outed last time he changed names and smartly he isn't leaving himself shill feedback anymore so to cover his tracks.

All of the bidding history on that account is to plcards own auctions (copy and paste link, hyperlink doesnt work):
http://offer.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBidderProfile&mode=1&item=121027407438&aid=n***n&eu=ruennMDeG7MoQl9fft72ZqmyB69TyRaY&view=NONE&ssPageName=PageBidderProfileViewBids_None_ViewLink

I reported the auction to ebay

Brief history of plcards:

Shill bidding has begun on the below auction auction. plcards is using his other name (cars856) to jack up price. cars856 is currently the high bidder. I recommend all my compatriots in this thread report the item for shill bidding!

http://www.ebay.com/itm/The-Dynastic-Hero-TurboGrafx-16-Complete-TG-TG16-Turbo-Duo-/140866196637?pt=Video_Games_Games&hash=item20cc47949d

Report item here: http://ocs.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ReportItemMember&items=140866196637&seller=plcards&active=1&state=1

Category: Listing practices
Reason for Report: Fraudulent listing activities
Detailed Reason: Seller is using other accounts to inflate item price

Where do you see cars856?  I see 5***5 as the highest bidder.  c*****6 is nowhere to be seen.

You can't see it but if you look at other auctions cars856 has won off plcards you can conclude it.

c****6 would not be what his hidden name is on there. cars856 name is hidden with 5***5. My name is sirhcman on ebay and when I make a bid mine is hidden with the following: i***a

plcards name is hidden on bids with c***d

If you look at this item (http://offer.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBids&_trksid=p2047675.l2565&rt=nc&item=120995198405) you can see that plcards sold it to 5***5. If you look at plcards feedback (http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&userid=plcards&&_trksid=p2047675.l2560&rt=nc&iid=140866196637&sspagename=VIP:feedback&ftab=FeedbackAsSeller) you can see it matches to the second item which was won by cars856

cars856 has been bidding on rc vehicles, football cards, and turbo games all being sold by plcards. Of cars856 bids over the past 30 days 84% of them have been to plcards account. With these factors, the 5***5 hidden name, the feedback for i****a being the same as cars856 it is stands to reason that it is one in the same.

plcards sold baby formula to cars856 even.. http://offer.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBids&_trksid=p2047675.l2565&rt=nc&item=140806008209
August 28th feedback: http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&userid=cars856&ftab=FeedbackLeftForOthers

Lastly cars856 "sold" a fatboy front fender on ebay to plcards. It would be a lot of amazing coincidences if this wasn't shill bidding. Second item on the following link: http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&userid=cars856&ftab=FeedbackAsSeller

Be aware that plcards also opened up this account tp60000 and has started buying and selling under that name as well. http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&userid=tp60000&ftab=AllFeedback&rt=nc

At the very least it could be 2 people working together but my suspicion it is one person. You can have two different names/addresses tied to each account and can even proxy or spoof your ip to make sure one isn't the same as the other. Either way it is shill bidding in my opinion and I believe the auction I spoke about prior should be reported.

Hopefully all the gibberish above makes sense. If you guys don't approve that this should be in the ebay gouging thread I will delete, I just feel it my duty to help the thread rid ebay of this shill bidding crap on our beloved turbos.

I reported the auction to ebay

Expect this one to be relisted as well - http://www.ebay.com/itm/Soldier-Blade-TurboGrafx-16-Complete-TG-TG16-Duo-/121031817261?pt=Video_Games_Games&hash=item1c2e0ef82d

Since he bought it here for $82+10 shipping.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/281009048325?nma=true&si=MfJxjvm7fJSOgVcjvsC6XyEttAI%3D&rt=nc&_trksid=p4340.l2557&orig_cvip=true

I had contacted the seller, and asked what it came with, turned out it was CIB. Figured it would go cheaper due to the way it was listed.  My bid didn't even get registered, it was too low.

If a***o isn't one of his shills, he really lost out. Around $9-10 in fees, making it a net loss.

EDIT:

It turns out it was bought by http://myworld.ebay.com/hotgamer-us , a seller located in Illinois. So, it looks like our buddy plcards took a $10 hit on that one. Maybe a little schadenfreude, to go along with his shill bidding.

It's not about simply flipping each game for profit. Crooked resellers are thinking long term. They began nanipulating the market by buying up everything at or below average market price and began trickling games out strategically. It doesn't matter so much if they make a profit on every flipped game, what's important is that they keep demand and selling prices artificially high.

Another for plcards..

Relisted with BIN/Best Offer http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ys-Books-I-II-TurboGrafx-CD-1990-With-Rare-Original-Map-TG-TG16-Duo-/121041207176?pt=Video_Games_Games&hash=item1c2e9e3f88

Original sold to himself.. didn't get high enough so he "bought" it with his shill account:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/140895202779?nma=true&si=Gm5N3P2ptip2VjaCD6tanEvyvJg%3D&rt=nc&_trksid=p4340.l2557&orig_cvip=true

Reported to ebay for fraudulent practices

Sort of off-topic, but Game & Watch gouging is just completely retarded.

So according to you, he bought it at $92 shipped from a picture-less and description-less auction to resell it one month and 11 days later at $89 shipped using an actual picture and description. Also, according to you, that sale an entire month away is part of a long-term evil mastermind plan to manipulate the price of Soldier Blade, demonstrating that the value is... going down? He spent $10 on this mastermind plan?

I don't understand how you guys are reporting these people.  I see the REPORT button, but once I get in there I'm force to use 4 separate drop-down's and none of them seem to apply to what I'm trying to report.  :-k

Has anyone here ever purchased anything that was graded?

not me, but i have a few sealed games here and there, either doubles that i haven't gotten around to moving out, or games that i just haven't gotten to play yet (SMT Devil Summoner 2 for example, i still need #1 before I'll bother to open #2)

Pick whichever one is closest to what you're complaining about and explain in the note section (note that some categories won't give you a note area).  It's not like it matters - eBay doesn't give a f*ck.

Should I stop wasting my time reporting it to ebay and mentioning it here as well? I guess we have established that this guy is very shady. It boggles my mind that people here still buy from him.

Heck no, don't stop.  I like laughing at these goobers and I report 'em too; maybe if enough of us complain, they'll actually listen.

$112.99 shipped for a TG-16 box and foam inserts.  It's not even in all that great of condition.
