But yeah, a grand for SAZ is absurd

The last several copies for sale have gone for ~$800, so a grand isn't exactly "absurd" relative to what it's been selling for recently.  It's definitely a gouge, but not the worst I've seen.
I'm not sorry about this, as I'm not sorry about ANY attack by the goverrats.

Capitalistix.... at least he's true to his name.  It's probably worth a grand just to get that rare Gates of Tinder.

Except it's that kind of attitude that quickly made it climb from $100 to $1000 in a matter of months. We could be saying the same things a couple years from now when it's aporoaching $10000, if there are still any collectards with any credit left.

You're quite right of course, but there's no reversal available.  Claiming that the high prices are somehow less valid than low prices doesn't seem to have much effect, e.g. Nat saying Magical Chase is a $150 game countless times.

Without firing up an emulator, is Magical Chase even a good game?

If you can separate its going price from your expectations, then yes.  It's cute, has a good variety of enemies and weapons to use, nice tunes, and sports a few graphical tricks you won't see often elsewhere.

Buy an Everdrive and play it on real hardware. Your wallet will be glad you did. :)

Since I dont' want to get flake for posting a new thread, I am posting this here.

Since this seems to be about ANY video game related over pricing items be it ebay, amazon, or craigslist...

mind you at most I am derailing that it is not NEC related but poo on that...

http://www.ebay.com/itm/1st-ISSUE-EVER-NINTENDO-POWER-INCLUDES-COMMEMORATIVE-PIN-LOOK/191229793012?_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D21235%26meid%3D8013311237408605501%26pid%3D100005%26prg%3D9374%26rk%3D3%26rkt%3D6%26sd%3D301231617400&rt=nc

"This magazine is the premier issue of Nintendo Power and it is awesome! It's full of info from classic retro games like Super Mario Bros. 2, Legend of Zelda, Contra, and Double Dragon. It also has tons of extras like Players Polls and Fan Mail. If your a fan of any Nintendo related games or items or you're just a fan of Nintendo Power, then you will love this amazing first issue!

There is a Nintendo Power Pin that came with the first magazine that is included.

This magazine is retailing for $299 on Amazon.

GOOD LUCK BIDDING!!!"

Okay you just stated that on Amazon the first issue goes for $299

but you want nearly $1,000.00 for yours?

and what what it looks like you don't even bother to post a picture of your item just a stock image..or of this pin that it comes with?

Lazy....

I will aggree that Nintendo Power 1 &2 (maybe other not so sure) have risen in price some what since Nintendo stoped publishing the magazines (still have hope a digital release may still happen really tie in tablets and WiiU pads) but I doubt to this level.

I got the first 49 issues in a lot a few years back (in pretty decent condition) from some poor guy selling his childhood who didn't need/want it after finding them tucked away in his parents attick but come one.....

I doubt honestly if you can even tell a first printing from a reprinted back issue which I belive Ninendo offered to send may of the first volumes of Nintendo Power until around the 80's (numbered) volumes.....

Well enough ranting...

back to looking for issues 50-100 .....I plan on going for a complete set one day.....la la la

Just saw this listing:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Turboduo-PC-Engine-PC-Engine-Duo-systems-and-games-lot-this-is-the-one-/331238853886?pt=Video_Games_Games&hash=item4d1f5fccfe

I'll admit there are MANY good games on my want list..

but me being a newbler I couldn't honeslty say if the price is to much....I'll defer to a more experianced NEC fan for that.

Points of interest: (for me)

-Seems someone is sellign off their collection
-Summer Carnival 93' was also for the PC-Engine? wow didn't know that...it's hard enough to find a Famicon (legit) copy ...not that I could affored it.
-I think my inner Obey just gave me a woody after looking at this collection.

about it......I have a feeling this may already be posted some where else....as this certianly can't be unknown to this group.

There's quite a few pricey titles in that lot, but an average of $55 per title is way too high, and that's factoring in a very generous price for the hardware.  Methinks it's another guy fishing for offers and hoping to eventually sell off eBay.

this clown here wants 400 plus for a "new" ( not really ) turbo express

http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEC-TurboExpress-TurboGrafx-Turbo-Express-Turbo-GrafX-16-Game-/161355521292?pt=Video_Games&hash=item259189dd0c

if this is the going rate then there is a flaw. There is a LOT of people who have "almost" new TE's like this dickhead right here. he is a joke imo.

That d-pad is awfully dirty for something that's 'never been used', but at least it comes with the all important syscard.
