Probably a stupid Q considering how many pages and fans THIS thread has but is there a thread for GOOD found ebay deals?

I got a CIC Bravoman for 22$ the other night. I was pretty happy with that.

Is it a "good deal" if the game is blah?

That is the age-old question.

If you play it who cares? You wanna talk about gouging, there is a schmuck who is tying to sell all the Metal Slug games for the Neo Geo AES for a grand total of 5 mil. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Genuine-Metal-Slug-Anthology-Complete-1-2-X-3-4-5-US-Neo-Geo-AES-VideoGameX-/290790567247?pt=Video_Games_Games&hash=item43b477ed4f
I love Metal Slug, but not to pay 5 million dollars for it.

Best avatar and text ever conceived

I had the idea for a while, but I have no clue how to do image manipulation, took me nearly 3 hours to do it, and the full res version looks terrible.

There are multiple sealed copies on eBay for less.  I don't understand how this could have occurred.  I'm genuinely curious to know what this person was thinking.

Unless they don't mind having the listing up for years, in general I think that when people put nuts BIN prices they aren't thinking.

I know what you mean but (pretty obviously) it simply depends on how you look at it--as a player only, a collector only, or a player/collector (I like to consider my self the latter).

Is owning a physical copy worth anything to me? It is. Is being able to play it worth anything to me? It is, even if just so I can first hand say "this game is not good!". Was that a good marketplace price so far as accomplishing both goals? It was. That makes it a good deal for me.

I hear you. I am very tactile and I like physical copies, too.

:)

I was really just expressing my disappointment with the game. Bravoman, even with shoot-em-up levels, is not worthy of sucking my left one.

I officially endorse your purchase, however, and perhaps you will find more joy with it.

I love a bunch of games that folks have dismissed, but Bravoman has yet to worm its way into my heart.

It is a definitely a part of it for me. The manual, the case, etc.   :D

I bet you're probably right, and I am not likely to find Bravoman all that great. I watched the Turbo Views on it several times. It doesn't look very good. But on the Turbo, I figure I am going to try all the action/adventure games at least.

Comrade, I try every damn game, no matter what the reviews claim.

I know you feel the same way.

I haven't played Bravoman in 20 years. This comment is motivation to continue that streak.

Yes sir! I am trying to experience what I missed out on as a kid (TG was practically non-existant among kids I knew, I knew ONE kid who had the Express but NOT the TG-16!, that was it!) so I am trying to form my own opinions. I do do some homework on them so I buy the good games first when possible.

I will say....I give the Sports games a hell of a lot less slack than the action games though. Nothing ages worse to me than sports games (and anything early 3D).

This must be a limited very rare hard to find game...

Meteor Blaster DX (original version) for $100.

That particular version isn't terribly common, but I'd rather have the pressed version anyway (only $20 brand new).
U.S. Collection: 98% complete    157/161 titles

There is a special and "rare" version of that game, but the lack of any mention of the "signature" feature of the "rare" version means that the seller believes that this is the non-rare version
