Anecdote: I'm a Shinobi fan, so I wanted to get a genuine copy of PCE Shinobi. I "set" my price at $40 for cic, but most offered on ebay were $60+shipping or more, including a sealed copy for $80 from dr. orangejuicer.

I waited (as in a couple months), and finally got it for $35+shipping from Japan.

If you're an actual collector, the hunt is supposed to be part of the fun, which includes patience and networking.

I did a similar thing two years ago for Shockman.  I had played the ROM and thought it was great and decided to buy it for myself on my birthday but I set my price and ended up getting it about 6 months later for the price-point I wanted (iirc it was ~$60).

If you have to play it now, emulator works well enough.  If you feel you need the real thing?  Rather than spending $100+ on the game when you don't believe it's worth that much just being patient pays off.

I was gonna post earlier this morning but then my internet went *insert annoying noise here* and by the time I got home from work I mostly forgot what I was going to say. I think it was after KingofGames' first "What does this even mean" statement to my earlier post. If I didn't make myself too clear the first time I'll summarize. There are crazy ass mofos like myself who will, now get this, buy a Turbo game in it's original box and actually play it. I'll Play it! HAHA, DAMN MY HEAD JUST EXPLODED!

Especially because Nina Garden is a silly edutainment title that is aimed at 6-9 year olds.

So I just need a time machine, huh? Besides that, what other tricks can I use?

Use your royal charm, comrade.  :)

You do realize that posting in the other threads, or starting your own, where you share thoughts on *playing* any game (at this point, I don't care if it is TG-16 related or not) will be much more productive, correct?

Seriously, we have been through this a million times in the last 15+ years...

I wonder what the neo-geo.com version of that picture would be.

It would have some text overlayed on top of this picture:
