Mystery Song for $150.  What a great deal.

Seller's name checks out.

How many extra copies must be printed so this doesn't happen again? It wasn't too long since lots of copies were sold for cheap on ebay.
I'm starting to think that even if the game was wonder momo level overprinted people would still gouge and stupid people would still fall for it.

In this case, it's the pre-order bonus items that're driving the gouger greed.  The only way to avoid it is to have just a single release type, where all copies (even if reprinted) are identical in every way.

Even then and no matter how many copies are made, someone will try to gouge for silly prices.  Look at the morons buying overpriced Dracula X booties, even though they can still be bought brand new from Tobias for less.

No one posted the Magical chase card and manual?  I'm pretty sure he paid somewhere around $3500-$4000 for the combo, barely even 2 weeks ago.  This guy spends a lot of money fast (probably $25k+) then unwinds a lot of purchases and does it all over again.  Was into mostly Nintendo stuff, some Atari, some Sega, but now looks like some TG16 too.

He's in it to make money obviously.  Probably makes a good return on his investments too.  It's like people who buy old cars or houses on short sale then fix them up and flip em.  Although here there is no fixing up to be done.  Just wait and relist for more than double the price and hope someone offers well above what you paid.  It takes money to make money and obviously this guy has a good chunk of disposable income to play with.

...and this is why people around here treat collectards the way they do.  This is a perfect example of what has been going on for years with many different resellers.  They just keep inching the prices up and up  and up.  And the newb collectards just keep buying.

No, he's not indicative of the average collector.  He's a pure speculator, or perhaps speculatard, by this forums definition.  The "collectard" is generally buying for keeps or at least buying and holding awhile until something of higher importance shows up.  This guy literally may buy on a Monday, open it on Wednesday and have it for sale Thursday.  That's obssessive compulsive disorder or something, not being a collectard.

Not obsessive compulsive just a pure speculator.  Same thing as a day trader on Wall Street.  Instead of speculating whether or not a stock will rise in the short term your doing it with the price of a video game.  Speaking of which I bought Nintendo at $27 thinking if they ever released a Zelda or Mario game it would go up.  Well Apple just announced today Mario Run.  Stocks at $34.

Don't remind me.   #-o

I wanted to buy in but was on vacation when it was released.  So pissed, however, I had a feeling that they were gonna release more games so I waited for the dip and bought in at around $27.50.  I saw Fire Emblem was confirmed to be released on IOS and figured if they ever released a Mario or Zleda game it would sell like hot cakes.  Also Nintendo only receives roughly 30% of the Pokemon GO revenue.  They should get close to 100% on a Mario game (not sure what Apple's cut is).

You misunderstood.  I never said this guy was a collectard.  He is out there to take advantage of the collectard mentality.    It has been going on for years with different players and one result.

Lost Monkey's point could have been clearer: Lost_Monkey was pointing out that the collectard and the flipper are a symbiotic relationship (cancerous for the hobby)...

The reason why flippers are willing to take risks is because uninformed/foolish collectards throw lots of $$$ at games.

The flipper and collectard fulfill each other, both having an orgasm: the collectard wants games and ejaculates for Magical Chase CIB, the flipper sells Magical Chase CIB at ridiculously inflated prices, having multiple orgasms as PayPal account grows bigger and bigger.
