Just to add fuel to the fire, there's a lot of private dealings that are not public knowledge.  Maybe the last public sales price was $200 a few years ago but private bounties have been much higher.  A seller can use that to gauge the price and list much higher knowing he already has multiple guys in a range.

That sounds like the justification of someone who gouges...... [-X

I advocate trading on forums and places that can't be indexed by price aggregators or easily accessed by reseller/collectards. Make the "market" info hard to find and for them there is no market.

It's too bad all the work done to figure out the rarity of games in the past decade couldn't have been hidden from them, too. They free-ride on the work of others and ruin the hobby.

Unfortunately I am a late adopter of the TG16, so sadly a product of the recent popularity, but have to say from what I have played thus far, I missed out on a great system as a kid. Of course I was at the mercy of my parent's funds when this came out so didn't stand a chance.

I will say some of the prices make my jaw drop. I never really plan on owning a Magical Chase unless I stumble upon a deal. Even then, it would be hard to keep at current prices. The most expensive I want and would play would likely be Cotton.

Thankfully I have made a few friends I can consult with since I am a fledgling in the way of TG16 collecting, but can promise that I plan to play whatever I buy. Well...other than maybe the sports games. Lol

No one talking about the $4k Tonma?  I'll do mine at a bargain price of $2.5k haha.

For such a crazy price, I'd expect a nicer box.

This is why collecting for US systems is becoming increasingly stupid.

This guy/seller has a whole bunch of shit swirling around. He used outlets to pick up this and other games cheaper, then is actually pulling a scumbag steve move, and reselling them immediately for a higher price.

If I knew where he lived (He is near me) I would stab him and take the games.
