What I find interesting is that I'm starting to see PCE Works games show up on Yahoo! Japan Auctions, and they are attracting a lot of bids. Space Fantasy Zone copies are consistently going for over 25,000 yen, and there is a copy of Super Real Mahjong Pantsu edition that is at 31,000 yen right now.

I used to think that Japan was immune to bootlegs, but it looks like that is not the case.

Tobias sold bootlegs like Space Fantasy Zone and Rockman on yahoo japan auctions before making them available anywhere else. They got bid up to thousands of dollars each, as they were presented as a small batch of long lost copies that NEC didn't distribute for some reason. Circus Lido helped make it more believeable. Even when the Sapphire bootlegs were first noticed and he kept coming up with more unbelieveabke stories,  a few people here refused to believe that they were real and kept making posts similar to ctophil's RVGS dream that Punch loves to repost.

Did anyone save the yahoo japan auction? How was Tobias response?

This twat has been listing such trash for months.  It'd be nice if eBay weren't so complicit in the buying and selling of obvious boots, but only criminal prosecution will get them to stop.

He's recently registered here as "shellshock".  I expect there will be lulz.

Looking at his feedback - he has sold a shit ton of those PCEWorks boots at usually triple what Tobias' price is...  I can't believe how stupid people can be...

It's bad enough that Tobias barely makes a profit and can only offer homebrew/translation staff as much as $1 per copy after he's already published and sold their work without contacting them.

Meanwhile, this crook is getting rich off of Tobias' hard work. Maybe we should set up a patreon for Tobias and let youtubers spread the word to help him out.

Not sure about gouging since it is a whole stores worth of stuff, but anyone (or any 460,000 of you) want to go in with me on this?

The larger a lot, the larger the discount should be.

Unless this is a series of "complete sets" which can demand a premium, there's no way this is worth even a fraction of the asking price. Unless it's sets of complete sets of every console library ever made.

You are right.

And after looking at the seller's other items on eBay, they are clearly out of touch with reality.

Christ - he would have to pay ME to take all those stickers off everything...

EDIT - After looking at his other auctions - this is some serious cheese or even fraud...  He has a couple hundred auctions running selling items from one of the other lots he is selling...

Out of touch with reality?  That's my kind of seller.

It's sad to see a store so jam packed full of games.  They must have utter shit prices, more interested in having overflowing shelves than actually selling stuff and making money.

Him calling it 'his collection' several times says it all.
