What games use the three button controllers? I know SF2 uses 6 button controller. Any other games use a six button layout?

What games use the three button controllers?

Any game that uses "SELECT" or "RUN" as an action button during gameplay (like the Gunhed/Soldier series, "SELECT" changes ship speed on a two button pad, on a three-button pad button III can change ship speed instead).

I'm pretty sure that Dracula X can use a 3rd button to do the item crash.

Absolutely. Like I said, ANY game that uses "SELECT" or "RUN" for an action can utilize a 3 button controller.

That's good to know. Is SF2 the only game for a 6 button controller?

Most of the later fighters use the 6 button pad. Advanced VG, Fatal Fury...I can't think of any non-fighters that use it.

I think this question is answered in Wataru's FAQ, but I'm on a phone right now so I can't easily check it.

Most all of the fighters on the system use the 6 button pad. The exception that immediately comes to mind is Asuka.

Complete list of 6 button games:

STREET FIGHTER II'
Linda3

I guess I was wrong about them all being fighting games. I didn't remember Yuna 2 using it. Why? It barely requires the 2 button on the standard pad. Didn't know about Emerald Dragon either. Super Real using it actually makes sense.

Can you post that list in English, Zeta?  This computer won't even show the characters, not that I could read any of 'em anyway.

Most all of the fighters on the system use the 6 button pad. The exception that immediately comes to mind is Asuka.

And Godzilla.

From what I remember Ys IV also uses the 6 button controller for "hotkeying" some items or save spots in game. rather than going to the menu every time.
 Can anyone confirm?
