Thanks for the translated list, Zeta.  Lots of fonts are 'unicode' fonts; the problem is that I'm running XP and haven't installed the Asian Language Pack (or whatever it's called).

From what I remember Ys IV also uses the 6 button controller for "hotkeying" some items or save spots in game. rather than going to the menu every time.  Can anyone confirm?

You are correct.

Are old posts starting to drop off the board?  I made a list of all the 6-button, mouse, and MB128 compatible games in '05 or '06 and it's longer available here.  I've cited the thread twice since then but the links are now broken:

Help?

Moving on...

OK, I think this is it:
After bringing up the question of "what games are Memory Base compatible?" on the "memory base games" thread sometime ago, i finally went through the complete lists of SCD and SCD/ACD games at PCECP and wrote down every game that uses a M128.  while i was at it, i also made note of the ones that use a 6 botton controller or the mouse.  I did NOT search through the normal CD games, the Hucards or the US released software because i assume that there are few, if any, games that use one of these 3 accesories on those formats (besides SF2).
this was boring work, so let me know if you see any errors or if there are more games in the other formats that i should include.

M=Mouse
6=six botton controller

The 6 button pad can be used in Emerald Dragon as shortcuts for menus ;)

Tell me about the Avenue pad please.
The 6 button Avenue pad has a little "A-B" switch. What is that for? Also is there a way to adjust turbo level for the 6 buttons? It looks like you can only adjust turbo on button 1 and button 2.

A/B switch toggles between 2 and 6 button mode. And you are correct-- only buttons I and II have turbo adjustment switches. I can think of exactly zero instances where you'd ever need turbo functionality on buttons III-VI.

The Avenue 6 is a really great pad, but they should have added an option for 3-button mode in addition to 2 and 6. That would have been the ultimate Turbo controller right there.

ok thanks for the input. Would you recommend the avenue 6 button or the DUO-RX 6-button, or are they about the same as far as quality goes?

As far as quality/durability goes, both are top-notch. I recommend the Ave 6 over the RX-6 though simply based on the way the d-pad feels.

In the game Bloody Wolf, buttons I and II are for jump and shoot and the "run" button is used for grenade throwing. Does that mean Bloody Wolf would be a 3 button game?

Tg16 never had any 3 or 6 button controllers from what i remember it was only on PCengines.
I know there is a thread on swapping out wires from pcEngine controllers with TG16 controllers but how does this work with 3 and 6 button controllers?
If I swap out the wire from a pcEngine 3 or 6 button controller to fit into my TG16 will it work?

Yes and yes. U can also make an adapter for duo size controllers to fit tg16. Search for "duosado."
