Anyone here have the Hori Commander 6 button?
Why is there 2 positions for 6 button mode? I'm guessing they were just being cheap with the switches hori was using. All the turbo switches next to it have three modes, so they probably just use the same parts. Im guessing there is no difference between the middle mode 6 button and the top mode 6 button. Does anyone know for sure?

マーシャルチャンピオン

I think that (Martial Champion) is a three button game, no?
So I actually bought me a book on Mahjong ...

I'm pretty sure that's the case, Gamefreak. I don't remember for sure, but probably confirmed it when I opened the thing to clean it.

I like the size, shape and feel of the Blaster 3 button pads. The 3rd button toggle switch on these is also well hidden along the bottom edge of the controller.

On the other hand, the one and only Blaster I've ever owned just recently started exhibiting weird symptoms. Up won't work unless you press it really hard (or at the right angle), and games keep pausing randomly on their own (assuming because the "RUN" button keeps getting triggered somehow).

I took the thing apart and cleaned it (though it wasn't really dirty to begin with), made sure everything was in order, and put it back together but it still does this. I'm at the point where I think it might actually be some sort of logic or PCB issue.

Since this is the only Blaster I've ever owned, I have no idea if these things are prone to breakdown or if I just got unlucky. I've owned it for years, and if you'd asked me a year ago, I would've suggested the Blaster without thinking twice.

I like the look of the 3 button blaster pad and have been keeping my eyes peeled for a good deal on one. It looks very comfortable for those hardcore shooter sessions. I really like the Avenue 3 and 6 pads. The Ave 3 pad is nice cause it's a little wider then the Core Grafx pads and has a little more weight to it which makes it feal more solid. The Ave 6 pad is probably my fav though. It's very comfortable and once you use it for a while it's hard to go back to the Core pads, your hands will start cramping.

Hmm...Blaster pads. Never heard of them I don't think. I have probably seen them but my brain didn't click.

These guys   http://www.shopncsx.com/pc-engineblasterjoypad.aspx  are in the US and still have some brand new boxed blaster pads. The price seems fair and shipping is cheap if you live in the US. I always wanted one of these but the 6 button pads/controllers are on my priority list now.

I bought that Blaster pad at the NCS site. Nat, this might be a good way to replace your worn one. It was about $28 after shipping. Just make sure to scan the shipping page as they seem to use UPS by default. The USPS options need to be selected down the page some.

Did you get express priority mail?

Here is their ebay site http://cgi.ebay.com/PC-Engine-Blaster-Joypad-New-Boxed-Japanese-Import-/200326195667?pt=Video_Games_Accessories&hash=item2ea45f29d3  . It shows shipping at $3.90. It should be 18.90+3.90 on their website. If you call them they will ship it media-mail for about $2, even though I don't think it is actually "media" though.

It looks like they have 5 left in stock. Maybe I should grab one before they're gone.

That's probably for Media Mail most definitely. Thanks for the link again. :)

Another interesting note on the ACE Blaster is that the exact same pad was also released for the Genesis. The only difference is the connector at the end of the cable and a Slow Motion toggle where the "SELECT" button is on the Duo version.
