Really?  I know there's a black-out period where only Gold users can play newly available game demos.  But after that blackout period silver accounts can play them?  I seem to remember being able to download older demos.

Silver accounts defiantly can play demos, just not all of them. Not sure what the restriction is.

I believe the wait time is generally two weeks until non-gold members can download demos. But yeah, to download a demo does not require a gold account.
