For those of you who suffer from Loose hucards and want a cheap alternative to buying official hucard sleeves, I found these guys.

These sleeves are made to store the business card size CDs, and they work perfectly.  Legit Sleeve is on the left and Rink CD sleeve on right.

This is one I had lying around from a demo CD, so I looked for them online.

This is a pretty good price for a reasonable quantity of 50 of them:

I also have been trying to find a nice storage box for some of the more valuable US Boxed games to display.  This one won't work, but is close to what I am looking for.

http://www.uline.com/Product/Detail/S-6280/Retail-Boxes/7-x-5-x-1-3-4-Plastic-Boxes

A box with internal measurements of 6" x 7" x 3/4" would be just about perfect.

If anyone has found something that works well, please let me know.
Thanks.

Wanted:
Bootleg Hucards (Hong Kong, China)
Third Party Hardware (US, Japan, China, Europe, Korea)
Canadian Boxes and Manuals (French text)

Frank_fjs, have you actually used those with success?

The problem I have found with those type is that they are made for a single business card to fit snugly.  The hucards, if they fit at all, are very snug to the point of being difficult to remove.

If anyone has a particular brand that they know works well, it may be helpful to everyone.  The one I tried was a no go.

For my loose HuCards, I was thinking a business card folder would be ideal.

Something along these lines:

id like the storage boxes too for complete games :).. keen to know who can come up with something, there are some of ebay for various other systems, but i havent seen a turbo one before.  Although im sure they exist as a once saw a Magical Chase in a fancy box which had gone through a certification process.

Well, I got the idea from using a small pocket sized business card holder that I have.

The HuCards fit perfectly into it. The only problem is as the HuCards are obviously thicker than a business card, it limits how many you can squeeze in there whilst still being able to close it. With a bigger, folder style holder, I imagine this would be less of a problem.

Take a look at baseball card holders, which come in various configurations for three ring binders.  They're a bit bigger than a business card, but they should work well.

As for putting your Turbobs in plastic prisons - please don't.  Big plastic cases make you look like a pretentious tool, so you may as well go whole hog and send 'em to VGA for grading.  If you want to protect the box from fingerprints, plain ol' shrinkwrap does the job just fine; if you want protection from more aggressive damage, get less careless friends.

I use a Vaultz 3 ring binder with zipper closure and "baseball"/collector card 9-pocket pages to store my hueys as well as transport them (when I want to play at someone else's house.)

I get sick of these comments, i bought the game, i have it and have used it, but at the same time it's an expensive item  so i want to protect it, look after it, make sure nothing bad happens, like an earthquake which could crush it, a bit of protection while its not being used is perfectly fine in my opinion.  Im not going to seal it away so it can never be opened.  If you want a copy of the game to play then do what the rest of us have, buy, play it, do what you want with it.  Its unfortunate the game costs so much to buy now.  I wouldnt want to pay current prices, but im not going to complain if someone does pay that and decides to seal it away in a tomb, their money, their decision, get over it.  No doubt there will be flames for my opinion, but we are all big boys and i can deal with it :)

What about fires, floods, pestilence, theft, and freak lightning strikes?

Then don't ever complain about anything on here.  We all have opinions and mine is that putting games in a big plastic box is stupid; get over it.

I'll complain when i like.. :)  And i'll take whatever crap comes my way.. Do what you want with your games.. i'll protect mine when i can, not just because of the value but because in general i like my shit to be kept protected.  Call me a tool if you like, but i'll be the one calling you a fool when your game does get damaged and you complain about it on here.. ;)

Gotcha.  You're just 'sick' of it when others opine, and we should all 'get over it' but not you.

Calling someone a tool for wanting to protect their collection is a bit much.  I know quite a few "gamers" on here that insist on getting things mint, complete, whatever you want to call it.  I'm with mrhaboobi on wanting to protect and properly display what I have.

And yeah, I play the stuff too, but you can't play the box - you can only collect it.  If you don't care about that, then simply don't buy the game with a box.  If you do care about it, then you should be happy that there's someone out there that cares enough about them to want to protect it.

I did contact Uline about the acrylic cases.  They don't have a clear plastic box that works, they do have a paper stationery box with a clear cover that would just slightly be oversized.  http://www.uline.com/Product/Detail/S-8542/Retail-Boxes/9-5-8-x-6-3-8-x-1-5-8-White-Stationery-Boxes  I'll keep looking.

It's good to know that there are some business card/baseball card holders that do work for storing the hueys as well.  If anyone knows of specific brands/models that work good, I'm sure people would be interested to know.

I'm curious what a plastic box is going to protect a game from, exactly. Floods, pestilence, theft, lightning strikes, fire and earthquakes have just as good a chance of damaging a game regardless of whether or not it's in a plastic case. Unless the case is made of titanium or diamond and is waterproof/airtight I don't really see the point.
