If i had a manual of Sapphire or a high res scan i would do it for sure and i would be happy to do vestcoats or joes GOT inlay but i would not feel right charging for them so not sure what to do about that.

I can scan the insert on my fakler sapphire.  Its not a complete manual, just a simple insert kind of like what you're making.

I think it's a great idea, but I'd go one step further and reproduce 'em in their entirety.  They're clearly marked as reproductions, so I doubt they'll ever be worth stupid money on ebay; sure some clown will try to sell 'em for big bucks, but we all need a good laugh now and then anyway.

I'm not sure it would be a great idea to reproduce manuals in their entirety, since someone devious enough could scan the pages all, remove the "repro" marks on the inside pages, and then produce "real" ones.

So what?  There's nothing preventing them from doing that with original manuals, none of which are all that hard to obtain.

Sparks any plans to add more when you arent as busy? Bomberman 93 seems like a good candidate, and so does Parasol Stars.  :-D

So it's somehow easier to obtain a real Magical Chase or Bonk 3 manual to reproduce versus buying a $3 repro and doing so? Of course, anyone who REALLY wants to can put in the time and money to try and scam, but I don't think those scummy people should be given the tools to do so easily.

These are really nice inserts....Can you do the same thing with other platforms....or maybe share some of your secrets to the success you have had in making these look so great....

To anyone who thinks these will show up on ebay and sell for way more...just report the sellers.....buy one pay with paypal get your money back and see what happens....should be interesting...

Its just all about making your collection look fresh...Having old raty games or games without manuals.....just makes a collection of any size look foolish...sure Ive got a parasol stars, but the spine sticker look terrible.....give me a repro of that anyday to make it match the rest....(found here earlier)

Chris, for the other platforms there already is alot of the work already done, all you need is photo paper, and for some games some universal game cases. Here is some stuff I did:

And here is where insert graphics can be found:

http://www.thecoverproject.net/index.php

You will find a Turbografx section there, but they use DVD cases (which I don't really like). I like what we have done on this website. One consideration is contributing what we have done here and putting on that website.

Oh by the way - this has been on there for YEARS and I have never bought something from ebay that had a cover reprinted from this website.
