Real trees make the house sell great!but are messy as hell.

Fake trees are far from tacky, imo,  when decorated, you can't tell the difference. Unless you bought it at the dollar store or something, them cheap ass ones are hideous.

My kids decided they don't want a tree this year so I chose the no tree but we still celebrate option.

I've had both artificial and real trees before and I prefer the artificial ones.

We don't trick and treat. Halloween isn't that big over here.. The ones that actually celebrates the day just puts on a random costume (preferably a plastic mask worth $1 at a gas station), get drunk and goes home.

I sometimes celebrate like that too.  I call it "Friday".

Yeah, that's my point. We don't change anything just because it's "halloween".

Edit: It's like.. People willingly adopt any kind of special day as long as it gives them reason to get wasted on a tuesday. I'd prefer if we'd skip the middle hand and have the courage to vomit on the bus without an international reason. With this said, my christmas tree should seem a bit hollow, but I'm not celebrating christmas, I'm just putting shining stuff up and drink mulled wine. It's a nice break from the cold.
