If you're planning on pre-ordering a two-day ticket you have about a week left.

Later.

Blue BMW -- Thanks for fixing my priorities.  The problem for me is whatever I budget for a month for games, I almost always exceed by the middle of the month, and this think happens near the end

DHG Hunter -- I am going to try to preorder soon, I am trying to move money from one of my online accounts in time, but if I can't like turbo mentioned above what am I losing out on?

Brookfield, WI is roughly an hour and a half drive from the Chicagoland area, you don't need to stay the night, unless you want to go both days. One full day is more than enough time IMHO. If you have the time, I strongly urge you to go. It's a great opportunity for you to purchase turbob games at great prices, not to mention so many great games to play.

SignofZeta: What a quintessentially PCEFX thread. Someone complains about nothing, multiple Bible-length posts discussing who's a bigger a$$hole follow. You're both pretty big a$$holes. Let's call it a tie.

I'm not gonna lie to you that is a pretty brilliant idea, drive up on Saturday morning and leave on Saturday night.  Kudos to you chany you area thinker.  This will likely be my plan of action if I go.

Sorry folks, I've been under the weather the last few days...

Pre-ordering is most important if you are going to stay there for two days.  If you're just planning on staying there Saturday, then yeah, there isn't much incentive other than the fact that pre-ordering tickets allows us to improve this year's show rather than next year's show, Lord willing.

Personally, I'm always surprised when people say they can see the entire show in less than a day, but it all depends on what and how much you're there to see.  I have heard - and agree - that Sunday has historically been the slower of the two days, but IMHO that's the best chance to really play some of the games.  Sunday is also going to have an entire day's worth of speakers/panels this year which we haven't done in the past.  I think Ben Heck will be on Sunday, I know Jack "Jersey Jack" Guarnieri will be there to talk about his pinball start up, and some other stuff has yet to be announced.

If this is your first show, then yeah, I can understand taking in one day, but there's a good chance you'll come back for two days the next time.  ;)

Later.

Anyone anticipate any issues with trying to bring a turbo Duo in my carryon?  You think TSA will cause trouble? (but seriously)

I would suggest calling the airports you will be going out, and coming in with. Maybe that will shed some light on the possibilities.

In theory its no different than a laptop computer.  If anything it'd be LESS dangerous, but if its something they dont recognize....

I don't know if this would create more problems, but I would simply tell the TSA agent, "This here is the love of my life. Treat her gently, I don't travel without her."

I'm sure you'll be fine.  :)

Given recent events in Wisconsin (http://tpmdc.talkingpointsmemo.com/2011/03/wis-state-senate-passes-anti-union-bill-in-end-run-around-dem-boycott.php?ref=fpa) I am considering boycotting the state of Wisconsin, and, necessarily, the MGC.  :|

I don't think it's going to solve the problem. But I cannot give tax revenue (sales, hotel, Gas, restaurant(?)) to a government who would do this.
