« on: January 11, 2011, 02:07:44 PM »
For years i have been driving to my wifes home town & i would pass this retarted little sign and it would always remind me of our little man Bonk, I always took a second look at that bald head & I would smile every time... :) <<shrugs>> ah maybe its just me but thought i would share.

Maybe that's Bonk after he saw Brink of Extinction.

Indeed.

It's Bonk, the Curmudgeon.

This reminds me: I am really upset I failed to take a picture of a "Fireworks for Sale" sign that TOTALLY USED ZONK. I've mentioned it here in the past, but it was ZONK, hocking fireworks. The last time I saw the sign was around 2002 (maybe 2003) in Southern California area, for a public school fundraiser.

I'm pretty sure I saw that exact same sign!  I remember seeing a sign on the freeway in the LA area, or maybe more south, that had a slightly modified Zonk on it!  I always wondered if my eyes were decieving me!

Old Bonk looks like my old landlord. He was an ex-NHL hockey player (cut after 1 or two years) and a serious a$$hole.

Yeah, Zonk's skin was ALL RED, like a devil, and he wore standard black sunglasses.

The name of the firework stand (or the fireworks company itself) was something like "Red Devil", but I did a quick search and they currently use a very lame logo.

Anyway...

Here ya go, I googled Red Devil Fireworks Zonk, & found this!

And I'm pretty sure that's not the one I saw many years ago!  It just doesn't look familiar, so, I think someone else also ripped it off at some time!

Holy crap! Now, the sign I remember was similar to the third "devil", sans teeth. I can't believe you found that image, because I scoured Google images last night looking for evidence.
