FT/FS: 4 TG16/PCE games, PC Engine converter
« on: January 16, 2011, 08:25:18 PM »
Hello! I've lurked around and decided I'd like to sell or trade these here. Rather than let feebay take a hefty cut. Good starter setup I will guarantee fully functional.

I gathered most of the stuff over several months from folks at digitpress (if you see this, thanks again). Yet it turns out NEC consoles just aren't my thing. Partly as I didn't do enough research to know there were comparatively few good English games than Japanese. So I'm hoping for items of more appeal in return!

I'd prefer trades and to keep it as a lot. Though I'll gladly break them up. As for selling make a fair offer. Price negotiable, but please no blatant lowball.

I'm in the US. Postage varies by destination. International is OK if you'll willing to cover the rate to your country and don't mine whatever customs fee may apply for something of this value.

System: USA Turbo Duo TRADED

Telegames PC Engine adapter (AKA "mirai converter" by some users)

Hucard games:
Son Son II (Japanese, cart only)
Vigilante (USA. includes cardboard box, jewel case, manual, and cart sleeve. one tab missing from jewel case) SOLD
The Legendary Axe (USA. includes cardboard box, jewel case, manual, and cart sleeve) SOLD
Splatterhouse (USA. includes jewel case, manual, and cart sleeve)
Ninja Spirit (USA. includes jewel case, manual, and cart sleeve) SOLD

CD games:
Golden Axe (Japanese, with box and manual) TRADED
Fatal Fury Special (Japanese, with box and manual, its required Arcade Card is unfortunately NOT present)
Gate of Thunder / Bonk's Adventure / Bonk's Revenge combo CD (USA. no manual or case inserts)

Well I'm not sure what's of similar worth. US duos are becoming scarce to the point where I can't even find a value to peg on all this. I'd suspect pushing the $300 point if lucky. IIRC, PCE adapters alone are good money these days.

I might also be interested in the boxed PS2 I see in the left of your picture :P

Also, $300... hard to say.  You are right that the converter cards are a bit pricey these days... Duos... they vary.  If they're in perfect working order yeah maybe $200 (preferably with the card slot cover though, they look so naked without it!)  So not sure... Gate of thunder is usually a $30 or so game it seems by itself.  Fatal Fury isn't a pricey one (not that good IMO... just an excuse to use an arcade card)  Your hucard games are good games but not terribly expensive even boxed.  So in the end.... really dont know! :P  Maybe someone else will chime in.  But let me know about that PS2 :P

I'm sure if it all works that PS2 being in the box with accessories and games could fetch $40 at least.

The hard-to-find converter is for playing import PC Engine hucards, on a US Turbografx. I don't know their current selling price.

Dont really need the games, but if you want it all together that's fine.  How much do you think to ship?

The PS2 in the box is a bit tricky. Probably will end up around 7LB once packed.

It's OK, I'll leave them out then. Mentioning the games was for marketing purposes. Figured I'll get more interest that way.

Looks like we all underestimated splatterhouse. omg.

Yeesh, the ebay gougery has pushed that game beyond where it should be too.  So sad....    On a side note, most of the people on this site loathe ebay... we are upset at what ebay gougers have done to the prices of our Turbo goodies.  All the rediculously high buy it now prices have steadily pushed the prices of Turbo stuff way higher than it needs to be.

On a side note, PM me a price + shipping quote on the PS2 system and we'll work something out :P

I'm doing this to avoid the fees after all. Gotta look at total cost of it here. And as typical for less "popular" systems, Turbo stuff had horrid regional distribution. Much harder to find in certain parts of the country...

They can still be bought new from Telegames for ~$50 plus shipping.
