Here's a few more good multiplayer games that I don't think have been mentioned yet: Military Madness, Kabuki Itouryodan, Motteke Tamago, Double Dragon II, 1943, Godzilla, Metamor Jupiter, Pop 'n Magic, and of course Faceball!
U.S. Collection: 98% complete    157/161 titles

Battle Lode Runner is lodes of fun, especially if you have five people. The premise of the mutliplayer mode is simple (dig holes for enemies to fall in) yet extremely fun and addicting. Lots of great powerups as well.

This game is amazing to play multiplayer!!  That is of course unless your up against a group of professional hole diggers that I was up against at last years VGS!!!  LMAO!!

Faceball 5 player multiplayer is THE BOMB!!  It blows away SNES Faceball 2000's wimpy 2 player mode ;)

Chew Man Fu, Aero Blasters and Bomberman are all the justification anyone needs for the multitap... I can't count the number of hours I've burned on those games with my friends and kids...
