Hm...that's a crazy looking game. Might have been cool.

For me the biggest "Shit! It got cancelled!" release will always be Aim for the Top! Gunbuster Vol 3. I'm a huge fan of the anime (which was released on LD in three parts as well) and while these aren't very great PC Engine games they did make great companion pieces for fans of the show. (Much better that most of the shitty digital comics and "fan disk" kinds of things).

I am a *huge* Cyberpunk person.  There is a definite lack of that sort of stuff on the PCE when compared to the overdone Fantasy genre.

same with MMOs.  I want more cyberpunk damnit.

Based solely on the superficial (i.e. the game's title):

Angels 2 seems to be final. There's no reason it shouldn't have been published.

I wonder how complete PC Cocoron is?

I would've loved a full version of Force Gear much more than Tokimeki Memorial. Even the PSG music kicks ass. 8)

Cychorider is also awesome and fills the screen with sprites as much as any 16-bit console game without any noticeable flicker or slowdown.

Computer games that have nothing to do with the PCE
*I'd give my left nut to play an Ultima game on a NEC console.
*Or Civilization.
*Or an attempt at a FPS besides Faceball.  Heck, I'd take Specter Challenger.

Somehow PCE related
*TV Sports Baseball.  Good or bad, the U.S. really deserved another baseball game.
*Mortal Kombat.  They passed it up!
*Bonk RPG.  I probably would have hated it, but still.
*World Heroes 1.  That Neo Geo picture in the back of the first Club Duo catalog looked sweet!
*Dragon Slayer 2.  It's gotten bad reviews and I have the PCE version sitting untouched on my shelf, but I was still eagerly looking forward to the U.S. release back in 1993.
*More Supergrafx games.  Super-GRAFX.  GRAAAAAAHHHFFFICKXS!

Id give my right one!  Maybe the full set can bribe people.

Srsly though, Ultima II sucked, and needs remade and I was thinking about one day, doing it on the PCE.

1) Cause I lub me some PCE
2) Itll draw in a new crowd!

My love of puzzlers has me longing for Off the Wall, and I wish the arcade card version of King of the Monsters made it out, as I have a soft spot in my heart (as well as in my head) for monster brawlers.

I *really* liked the story of Ultima ][.  It was so awesome... but at the time, Lord British was learning machine language and as a result, Ultima II was more like a tech demo for what would become Ultima III.

Lots of empty real estate...   the towers / dungeons are totally optional.  There's not alot of interactivity either.

But man, it has so much room for improvement.  Smooth it out around the edges and man, it'll rule.

I've wanted to do it for awhile now.  I could easily redo key tunes from other Ultima games as music in it too...

Stones for the theme
Wanderer (from Exodus) for the overworld
Towns? Hmmm... so many good choices

Ultima II would translate nicely to a 2 button controller also.

Angles 2 was finished?  I thought it was just a bunch of pictures last I booted it up....maybe I have an older version?

As for both World Heroes 1 & King of the Monsters 2, I've already stated this before but.. As far as I was told by one of the Shirley bros.(of WD fame) bitd, they were both finished, complete.  However, World Heroes wasn't released due to them thinking TTI was going to go ahead & bring out the Arcade Card & World Heroes 2, they feared of WH2 overshadowing WH1 in terms of sales, so, no dice.  As for King of the Monsters 2, it wasn't released becaue it REQUIRED the Arcade card do the the enormous amount of memory needed for an entire level.  From what I remember, he said it pretty much need to reload every screen or 2 using the Super CD.

Will we ever see these 2 games?  I still hold out a small flame of hope that somehow, someway, we will get them, whether they be on PSN or VC, or just plaing leaked!  I wish I had asked him about Cosmic Fantasy 3 though ](*,)
