Any suggestions on better ways to protect my games?

I'm curious to see if anyone had any ideas on how to better protect my Turbografx games.  I use nice quality resealable covers for my Super CD games, and games that came in a regular jewel case originally.  The problem is, the Turbografx boxes are nothing short of a funky size, and I can't seem to find a good cover for them.  I use DVD resealable covers for my genesis games, but those are too thin and long to fit them.  Any suggestions?

The handful of TG-16 games that never came with a jewel case have found a new home (a re-purposed TV Sports  jewel case, most likely).

You could certainly still display some of your TG-16 boxes, but they simply aren't practical for storage unless it is long term (years!) and, at that point, your poor HuCards would feel abandoned and neglected.

You could go even one step further and eliminate the jewel boxes:






As for the resealable covers you are looking for... I'm sorry, I don't know where to find them

On a different note.  One of the first things I do with my CD games for this system, is back it up.  Its not like you can get them everywhere.. and ebay can get expensive if ya gotta re-buy a game thats been scratched.  Maybe not exactly what you were looking for, but the actual games I keep in their jewel case at all times when not in use.  Its really all we can do to keep them as preserved as possible, aside from just not ever playing them at all.

Just fold all the boxes flat and store them vertically like records. You don't need them for anything and US boxes are uglier than dog shit so just hide them someplace.

Storing games in their cardboard boxes is just silly - unless you're not really playing any of 'em, in which case it's silly to have them at all.  In twenty plus years I've yet to seriously damage a game, so what's the point giving 'em extra protection?  Unless you're a clumsy oaf or abusive, the worst you'll do is scratch the case or break off the 'ears', both of which are easily fixed with a new jewel case.

This is almost exactly what I do, except I use a cardboard box.  Plus to keep the empty boxes from being crushed, I fill 'em up with a chunk of extruded poly.

Yep, do that too.  Someday I'll treat 'em all to some über sexy Sparky stickers.
