I currently use the inbuilt scanner driver/tool that comes with Windows 7 64bit as the software that came with my scanner crashes. The standard diver does not have a 'descreen' option :-(  However I have upped the DPI to 500 and this seems to have helped. Let me know what you think.

I have upped the following. Some of the cover backs are slightly faded etc. however I though it would be better to have a fade copy than no copy at all ;-)

3x3 Eyes
Advanced VG
Battlefield Wrestling 94
Burai II
Panic Bomber
Ryuko No Ken

I have just also noticed that the reg card for panic bomber has a version number on it.

Yup, the increased resolution helps. When I downsample them any banding will vanish.

I'll keep the reg cards back for a while until we have a few more of them, then maybe have a good look at how to sort them into the site.

I sent a single scan for Strider via mega upload. Let me know if it is satisfactory and I'll start sending the rest I have.

The resolution is fine, I just want to check the colours. Is the spine faded or is the NEC Avenue logo supposed to have no colour in it (and the Arcade CD-Rom strip at the top looks pale to me but that might be how it is)?

The Arcade CD-rom strip at the top does look a bit faded. Especially when compared to this one. It also looks like the AV logo is supposed to be white.

Edit: I sent some more of them but I'm not sure which ones you received cause Mega upload crapped out. Please let me know what  you received. I think I will email them one at a time to you instead of using these upload programs.

Cool, a lot of spine cards I don't have for the moment. If I had a scanner, I would scan a lot of them but unfortunately...

The best thing to do is zip a batch at once and send them to me via www.yousendit.com (no registration required). That way I don't have to wait for the timer to count down before I download.

The last batch I am currently downloading from you were: BLR, Fatal Fury Special, Lemmings, Power Gold and Schbibin Man 3

Because these scans are so big, I'm going to host them on imageshack and link with thumbnails to my site: Example. This is actually pretty good because it a) saves me a ton of work, b) saves me getting in trouble due to bandwith usage and c) allows me to put them up at 300dpi - print quality.

Senshi, can you use less compression when you save them please (minimum Jpeg compression/maximum quality would be nice). Thanks.

If anyone that does not have a scanner wants to (and is comfortable) mail spine cards that have not been done to me, I can scan them and mail them back.

To add a quick request to the covers, spines and reg cards...how about scans of the CDs themselves?

Adding to the list I have scanned:

CD Denjin (covers & CD)
L-Dis (covers & CD)
Pop 'n' Magic (covers & CD)

I do NOT have the spine cards for any of these.

Can you rescan the front cover to this again please? There seems to be an odd horizontal image shift 2/3 down it.

Also - I think your scanner has a scratch on the glass. If you are able, you might want to move the covers to another area of the glass to avoid this:

It's on a lot of them.

If not, I'll keep Photoshopping them out if I can.

sorry I just saw this...I have it set to 300 dpi currently. Is that what you're referring to? I can set it up to 500 dpi I think.
