Hardest PCE game that you HAVE beaten???

Space level? I've just played through Pomping World (the japanese version of Buster Bros) and I saw no space level, the last stage was the Easter Island.

The Japanese version has the space part.  You can see a screen here.

If my memory serves me correctly, to gain access to the space stuff, you have to start from the very beginning and play through it from there (as opposed to selecting a higher starting stage).

Thanks for the link! I thought I had read all of the reviews there but obviously that was not the case. I started from Barcelona so that's why I didn't make it to the space level.

On 1P mode it starts you on a near death position, so you're kinda lucky XP

Over the years I've been slowly working through finishing all the PCE Shmups, I just can't beat Raiden  I'll have to give it another go.
