Or, you could hack one controller from each of the 'older' systems like this, and build an arcade-style joystick that had a db9 for the connector. Then you could use it on any of your other systems, by plugging it into the hacked controllers :-)

It used to be a NES controller but now it is a fully functional Turbo Duo/PCE controller with headphone jack and custom "Bee-otch" label.

So, it does pass audio somehow through the controller?  Sounds like an opportunity to combine a virtual cushion with a turbo pad and make a Turbo-rumble Pad!

By the way...  the pad is one honest to goodness RAGS - to - RICHES story!  Sweet Bee-Otch!

The audio goes through the controller as if it were a headphone jack extension cord.

Turbo rumble cushion would be awesome!

Right, I see.  At least putting it into that context, the PL-PD3 makes sense.  The PL-PD8 still doesn't :/

The headphone jack on the other hand, does not work.

I wonder if its really a link port so I can hook my sgfx up to an Express and play gimpy two player disasters. lol.

When you say "pass through" do you mean to connect a MegaDrive/GEnesis pad or is it just a link port for another PCE controller?

Well, it probably wasn't done so that the guy could use shitty OEM Sega pads. It was probably done to accommodate some sort of arcade stick, possibly home made.

my 3DO pads are D9 plugs with pass-through and audio
