Hey, there's a Loopy Set B on ebay for $650!.  Mine is a set A.  And A is of course always superior
to B.  And I included a 3rd game!  If that's not the deal of the decade, I don't know what is...

Sorry not interested, reason for selling is because i just don't have the time like i thought i would to game anymore.

He has the Duo up for sale on Atari Age now, so I think he's done with us over here.

I see.  Well that's good to hear.  I'm glad that you didn't get chased off.

While I can't say this with %100 certainty, I'm convinced that any US Duo that hasn't been refurbished is going to need it pretty damned soon. All the black Duos, US and Japan, just seem to end up with all sorts of issues (usually audio) from the leaking caps.

This refurbishing work can be done by some forum member here for less than minimum wage on his part, but from a professional electronics store you're probably looking at a few hundred in labor bills.

Therefore a sight-unseen, never repaired US Duo (bugger the box) is worth essentially negative dollars unless you have it repaired by some crazy philanthropic mofo like BlueBMW. In that case...why not just buy the damned system from him in the first place?

Or, of course, a Duo R.

Or of course you could just replace the caps yourself.  I definitely wouldn't pay as much for a system that was going to need a cap job soon, but it certainly isn't worth "negative dollars" especially with the box.

That being said, I agree about the Duo-R.  But the original Duo is definitely cooler-looking.

I guess this is just me, but a few hours labor is worth more than a stupid box, even if it's my own labor.
